General Gaming Discussion, v3

Human Revolution was like the one game I tried getting 100% achievements on. But even though I have two completely spotless playthroughs I could never get the 'trigger no alarms' shit. Has to be glitched

Hmm. I got that one. I had to clear all my older saves away to get Legend to pop. Dunno if that's an issue there.

An aside, something I found on one of the Steam threads that made me laugh my ass off (and it applies to so many other games too):

"Gee, whats that? A body! Guy must have had a heart attack."
- "Quick, lets gather round the corpse and mourn him."
"Greneade, get down!"

Decided to go pick up Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time for $8. The first game came bundled with my PS2 when I first got it, and for some odd reason, I have this urge to complete the series. So far..its definitely colorful.

Yup. It's not any worse than ME2's where you fight a baby reaper and then find out in the DLC that nothing you did mattered since the Reapers invade right away regardless.

Was the the Arrival DLC? That got a bit of flack at the time.

Just finished Halo 4 on the Master Chief Collection
Started Halo 3 first but I didnt like the way it played so I skipped over it and went to 4
Now Im debating on getting Wolfenstein : The Old Blood or House Of Wolves on Xbone or playing Max Payne 3 on PS3
Decisions, decisions

Currently going through Yakuza 3 (really need to finish this as i have 4 still in the wrapper) and trying to 100% and Way of the samurai. forget which number as it's the digital only version. That game has way too many endings

Max Payne gets a bit repetitive fyi, unless you've already played it and just going back and trying to 100% it.

haha you just reminded me that I need to beat Yakuza 1. I have 2 and 3 in the wrapper and I've been meaning to finish the first.

The first one I think is the only one I have ever finished... not to 100% but I completed the story... in like 2 nights cause I played it for like 8 hours straight both nights.

after all these years, this track still gives me the chills

Just finished the remastered Halo:CE
Game was still fun as hell and looked pretty damn good
Playing Wolfenstein : Old Blood now
So far Im liking this more than The New Order which I liked a lot
Old Blood is a lot harder too

I didn't like The New Order, but from what I've read Old Blood is a step back towards the older Wolfenstein games with dat occultism (And for me Nazi's and the occult are a winning combo), so I might have to give it a shot

Yea it definitely reminds me of the old Wolfenstein on Xbox, has the same kinda gameplay feel as you walk through the castles searching rooms and finding secrets

Picked up Fallout:New Vegas on the Bethesda sale.

Now I remember what I hated about this game. I'm on a pretty big mission early on. I clear out a reletively tough dungeon and get to the end scenario. I'm then told that one of my skills isn't high enough to complete it. Nothing I can do but track back to the beginning and level up. What a joke. This is 90's PC RPG nonsense that should not be present in a game made in 2011.

Other than that, good game.

Are you talking about the Vault mission?

Are you talking about the Vault mission?

Nah, it was the solar power mission, where you have to line up the panels to give some people power(bad description, I know). It's near Novac. I had to repair some power source that required "35 repair", and I only had 30 with no buffers in my inventory. Fuckin' pissed me off to no end.

I know that mission, never completed it cause I faced the same situation and totally ignored it afterwards.

Gamestop is having a buy 2 get 1 free used sale.

Fallout 3 is better anyways. You should dump that soap opera and go have some real fun exploring the Wasteland. ;)

Finally picked Mass Effect 3 up (used, of course). Sucks only having four squad members to choose from. ME2 went OTT, with several ending up as characters you only took out once, for their loyalty mission, but this is the other extreme. I haven't even got a Krogan :icon_sad:

Your party will grow.

What I really didn't like about ME3 were how the little side missions were handed out. You walk around overhearing conversations, and all of a sudden you have three or four side missions in your journal. It felt really cheap, like they wanted to have all these side missions fleshed out with dialogue and cutscenes, but cut them to get the game out on time.
