Economy Gas Over $3 For First Time In Months

Hush, little Orange Knight. I didn’t say anything at all ITT about whose fault gas prices were or weren’t. Rob provided a source about gas prices decreasing, and I quoted right from his source.

First you said they were going up, then he proved they were going down and you said 'yeah and that's a bad thing.' Lmao

From your link:

WASHINGTON, DC (March 20, 2025) – After weeks of little movement, the national average for a gallon of gas increased by about 4 cents since last week to $3.12. Even though the price of crude oil remains below $70 a barrel, prices at the pump are going up as more refineries make the seasonal switch to summer-blend gasoline. Summer-blend gas is less likely to evaporate in warmer temperatures and is more expensive to produce.

Today’s national average for a gallon of gas is $3.12, 4 cents lower than a month ago and about 40 cents lower than a year ago.

This is at least the 5th thread I've viewed in the WAR ROOM this week where the TS leaves out information vital to the OP
and it's only revealed after multiple pages of TDS.
he might not be wrong either, gas taxes may be in effect, the hidden tax that nobody see's at the gas pump. did the state vote on a tax hike on gas in the previous cycle?

in my state:
California is set to experience significant increases in gas prices due to new regulations and tax hikes in 2025. The state already has the highest gas tax rate at 68.1 cents per gallon, and this will be further impacted by regulatory changes. The California Air Resources Board's new regulation on the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) is expected to increase gas prices by 65 cents per gallon, while the state's gasoline excise tax will also see an automatic increase of nearly 2 cents. These factors combined could cause gas prices to spike up to 89.8 cents per gallon in 2025.

And inflation is down ? You need to step away from FOX news and you might as well just read a tabloid News article if you think gas prices are going down my friend . 😂

You post a month old article that doesn’t even feature the final February numbers which were a near 95 percent decrease in border encounters.

Not that I blame you. I googled the topic to see why you think the PBS article is relevant and it’s the top result even though it’s unsubstantial cope. Like all MSM “fact checks” they actually don’t fact check anything. They just say they can’t verify therefore it’s not true. Well. Then the report came a week later

PBS only put out that cope article because a month before they said that Trump couldn’t significantly curb migration. Trump has ruined the go to line for any future admin that claims they are powerless at the border.

Inflation. Most outlets acknowledge inflation is down but they qualify their negative coverage with their OPINION that it will go up because of tariffs but the fact is that the end of Feb number was lower than anticipated

I’ve already posted about Trump’s great gas and egg miracles.

I posted the year vs year average by date and all I got back was how bad it hurt their pussies that someone could look that up. It’s as if they are lying douchbags or something.

In a strange turn of events, the prices I'm referencing are only at one gas station chain in the area. The rest are 40 cents cheaper. Bizarre

You kind of did.
Huh? Coleman claimed that “first I said they were going down then you proved they were going up.”
My initial 2 posts didn’t say a single thing about gas prices. Tbh I wasn’t sure why you responded to it the way you did except I get the thread is about that. I only responded to the OP asking about being bamboozled, and I said that Trump’s tariffs drive up prices, which is obviously true by definition.

When I responded to you, I quoted right from your source and said
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.com, said
So Coleman’s assertion that I flipped on whether prices were going up or down is wrong, and his assertion that I said it was a bad thing is wrong. Your own source had a quote which said it was indicative of economic slowdown, and I pointed that out to you.

Even later, I never made any assertion about gas prices on the whole. I said that I did a quick google and I listed what AI said about my state.

Y’all losing it in here.

You first post ITT was about how Trump fooled people into thinking prices were going to come down. Then, when prices were shown to be going down, you said it was because things are doing so poorly.

On the way to work today, it was $2.99.

Another wolf ticket.

Are you trolling me? You’re not usually the dishonest sort, but this is really dishonest. I said
Before the election, we warned that he was going to drive up the debt, enrich himself, fire govt workers and replace them with loyalists, and his tariffs would drive up prices and fuck the economy.
And everything we warned about is true. Their budget plan will drive up the debt and help him enrich himself, and anything he puts a tariff on will have a higher price than it would without a tariff, by definition. And indeed, we’re on the verge of recession, prices of all sorts of shit are up, markets are unstable and have had some pretty bad days, and economists are warning that important systems could collapse.

You responded with a source about gas prices which I did not agree or disagree with, or even fact check. I responded with a quote from your own source.

Just did the conversion and a gallon of fuel in Australia works out to about 7.20 AUD per gallon, or about $4.52 US per Gallon.

Your fuel in the US is very cheap still. It costs about 50% more in Australia.

everything that was supposed to get cheaper under Trump has gotten more expensive instead. He's going off the rails on the crazy train and we're all along for the ride. I'm not a democrat and hate leftists but have not noticed an improvement in anything since Trump took office and in fact have only seen shit get worse/more expensive. Have we been bamboozled?
It's just the switch to summer gas--and I'm totally serious.

There's enough to criticize without falling for things that are totally normal as some kind of big deal.

Speaking of falling for shit...

Democrats truly are living in an alternate fantasy where they actually win every now and then. Where Trump isn’t stomping them into the ground daily.

Gas and eggs are not just down slightly but massively.

Also, inflation is also going down. Immigration way down.

Democrats have resorted to becoming Koch lite by bitching about the stock market as if that’s the temperature and how things are going for the day to day life of the average American.

Eggs are almost half of what they were under Chicken Hitler Joe Biden.

And pretty much everywhere else.

Here it's about $4.22/gal USD but we won't be switching to summer gas for another month or so.
