Elections Gary Johnson at 12% (3% away from debates), potential game changer

Saw this on my newsfeed

The balanced rebellion thing is kinda funny and a unique idea to try to encourage a third party vote.

That was amazing! I had no idea that would turn out to be a real thing.

My thoughts:

1. Trump's description re: America drunk nuclear bombs - this election is bringing out EVERYONE'S creativity. The amount of wittiness people are generating by describing Trump is unprecedented.

2. Trump's broken mind - man, nobody respects Trump except his Trumpeters.

3. Johnson may have found a real way to use the internet to overcome the main problem of third party candidacy.

4. The Music at the end - that was composed of riffs included in Apple's soundtrack program almost fifteen years ago. I used them all the time for television projects. I didn't think they were still in use.

1200 men, not 1200 soldiers. So Ifd0311 has been lying the whole time.

His claim from the jump, was that Zinn said Columbus brought 1200 soldiers, and he was a liar for this.

Just like when he denied using the phrase half truth, and I quoted it.

So Jack, Upa, you gonna like my post as well now?

LOL, read the freaking quote dude. You're failing hard hear, and you know it. That's why your posts are so short. If you actually had anything to say, you'd say it. He said he brought 17 ships and 1200 men, and his goal was clear. Slaves and conquest. There is no way you can misunderstand that. "Men" has always meant troops. Most of those people were settlers, more than half of them women and kids, who were settled in three seperate settlements. But I'm the liar. OK dude. I'll accept this BS post as "I surrender and I'm too proud to admit Zinn is a liar and I'm a sucker".

Damn...Johnson got set off. He would have more support if he wasn't for open borders like Hillary.

yeah hes completely opposed to trumps biggest platform. i see bernie guys love him, though.

Gary Johnson sounds more like a leftists than a libertarian

I will keep coming here like once a week to parrot myself until he is officially excluded and we can all pretend like 4 years from now will be any different. Johnson is at 12% when Jill Stein is left out of the poll. So they have put her into all 4 or 5 polls, from which she will take at least 3-5% of that 12%, and eliminate any chance he has of making it.

This debate is under house rules, just like Vegas. They make the rules, and they can change the rules whenever they want. They can change the polls they consider whenever they want. They could probably leave him off the poll completely if they wanted to. Regardless, he has 0% of getting on TV which is owned by the politics he rallies against. This idea that this is his path to the White House is delusional. He is deluding his followers, when they should be concentrating on grass roots and the internet (before that is completely regulated too)

Bernie's wild supporters are no different than Ron Pauls in 2012. When it comes time to actually have to do something outside of the internet, like vote, they will stay home. It happens every single election, but Americans have poor memory apparently. No different than Woodstock. Somehow they could not realize that going to a concert and smoking dope was not going to stop Vietnam or any subsequent wars. And now, we have Bernie people doing equally stupid shit.

Johnson's biggest obstacle is that his policy ideas are obviously terrible, but more generally, a third party that really wants to make a difference doesn't confine itself to no-hope runs for the presidency. Start winning small, winnable local races, try to get some people in Congress and make allies with other Congressfolk who aren't in your party, build grassroots organizations, etc. After that, if you succeed and show you have viable policy ideas, people will take your presidential candidate seriously.

That made me laugh. I'm not sure if this has been a shift with Johnson since previous elections or not. The outrage definitely seemed fake to me.

Yeah...it seemed so fake. I still remember him as being the mellow guy that talked about his dog during the debates in 2012

He definitely is able to make an argument from his party/platform a stance for amnesty/etc. but then like the video says, he goes PC on the topic. His party should be the last of that group doing those kind of things. PC closes down conversation. He clearly is going hard for the Bernie voters though and is appealing more left than he did right in 2012.

Policy has nothing to do with it, the policies of the two major parties have been a disaster. No 3rd party can win anywhere for a very simple reason. If I have the backing of a major political party, I can use my expensive team of attorneys to block you out any election. You could have a perfectly legal campaign, but if you can't afford to fight my challenges in court, it doesn't matter. The candidate who spends more money wins 91% of the time. If Johnson was actually a risk, they would have their team working even harder to remove him from the ballots. Ohio already threw his entire party off the ballot. They can get back on the ballot as a party if he collects 30,000 signatures, but guess what? They can't afford to even do that.

You are the liar son, you want me to go find quote after quote from you claiming that Zinn said Columbus brought 1200 soldiers?

This is just like your lie that you never said it was a half truth.

This has went from Zinn is a liar who claims Columbus brought 1200 soldiers, to Zinn said Columbus brought 1200 people, and is telling half truths.

I mean you should be utterly embarrassed, and you are lucky I don't have an axe to grind with you. I could pick you apart with this.

Gary Johnson is just a closet Republican. He wont appeal to Dems

LOL, I found it. I provided it. This will mark the first time in history that "17 ships and twelve hundred men. The aim was clear: slaves and gold. They went from island to island in the Caribbean, taking Indians as captives. But as word spread of the Europeans' intent they found more and more empty villages. On Haiti, they found that the sailors left behind at Fort Navidad had been killed in a battle with the Indians, after they had roamed the island in gangs looking for gold, taking women and children as slaves for sex and labor. " actually just meant that he brought some settlers with him. LOL, sure thing, dude. You might convince some stupid people of that, but not me.

And honestly, for someone who earlier in this thread was trying to call others out for "dishonest debate tactics" you're the one who should be embarrassed. If you think you're somehow saving face and doing anything more than just exposing yourself further, you're horribly wrong. You're the one who said he brought 1200 "people". Zinn is clearly saying he brought 1200 soliders with him. That isn't even close to the truth, and we both know it. Actual history records that at least half of those people were women and children.

Wow, at you claiming that Zinn saying Columbus brought 1200 people = 1200 soldiers.

Debate ploy?

How about this instead.........

Honest question here. You aren't even a little embarrassed by making this absurd argument, that a child should be able to see through?

I mean if I go quote 4 statements that prove you are a liar and a fat mouth, will you stop replying to me?

In what sense?

No 3rd party can win anywhere for a very simple reason. If I have the backing of a major political party, I can use my expensive team of attorneys to block you out any election.

It's a result of having plurality-rule elections with single-member districts. Doesn't have to be the same two parties, but the system leads to there being two parties. If one or both parties were very unpopular, they'd lose and be forced to make changes or die.

Yes, I do speak it, do you? And Zinn didn't say Columbus brought 1200 "people". He said he brought 1200 "men". in 17 ships. The rest of history records that Columbus returned with his 3 originals ships and 14 ships of settlers. Zinn intentionally misrepresents it to sound like an invasion fleet. Show me another example in history of "men" being used to represent settlers, large numbers of which were women and children, especially in the greater context with which it was used in regards to their clear aim being slaves and gold.

I mean if I go quote 4 statements that prove you are a liar and a fat mouth, will you stop replying to me?

LOL, Yes, please. I've asked you numerous times in the, what 3 weeks this conversation has been going on to back up even one thing that either you or Zinn has claimed. You've spent the bulk of that claiming that Zinn never even used the term "twelve hundred" to begin with and baselessly calling everyone else a liar. LOL, come on, dude. So yes, you at any time saying something meaningful would be refreshing. And your thinly veiled begging to stop exposing you and your hero as phonies is as hilarious as it is pathetic.

The level of bullshit that a person's brain has to operate under to post something like this in the face of all the absurdity, lies and outright projections you've posted in this thread is impressive. It 's actually starting to border on some sort of mental disorder. I think you honestly think everyone else is making dishonest arguments while you're the one being truthful. But then again, that does go back to the whole "you're a truther" thing, so I shouldn't be all that suprised.

Is he going to be at the debate? @Hans Gruber

At the moment there is no way that he reaches 15%. Even with Hillary being exposed with the FBI transcripts she still has too many loyalists that will stick with her no matter what IMO.

Something major needs to happen to either candidate for him to gain enough ground. ( I consider what Hillary did to be major but something that people can't ignore would have to happen)
