Gane will control the sloppy Lewis with ease

Ciryl must win this one, so we can get Gane vs N'Gannou. Current MMA Factory vs Former MMA Factory.
The student who abandoned Fernand Lopez when he made it to the top, and the student who shall forever honor his sensei.
The match that will turn France into a nation of MMA enthusiasts!

As of today, the French love their Judo, Muay Thai and Kickboxing, but much like Ireland before Conor McGregor made it big, MMA is dead there.
Now that the ban is lifted, time for my HW dream match to be reach concretion!

Main event for UFC Paris?
Bellator has already produced their first event there, and did pretty damn good.

If the card is cool, it could bring a new market to the UFC...
Get Tom "Fire Kid" Duquesnoy to come back for one fight, same for Cyril "Da Snake" Diabaté! (too bad Bisping is too banged up for a rematchn their first fight was tight... a Shogun rematch could be cool too, but I, I just want Mauricio to retire, that loss to Paul Craig was depressing to watch :( )

Cédric "Le Meilleur" Doumbé , currently n°1 WW in the world, current GLORY ww champ, and one of the best p4p kickboxers out there, has been talking about getting into MMA for years now.
What better occasion than the first UFC card in France?
Okay, okay, I'm getting carried away because no way would he ever give up on kickboxing, if he gets into MMA it will be with an org that lets him do some "French Boxing" on the side.

A MMA rematch against his fellow French rival Jimmy "Le Guépard" Vienot, who was the 4th Frenchie to win the Lumpinee belt (at 160lbs) would be so sick.
After their GLORY bout, many said that Jimmy would have kicked his ass under Muay Thai rules, and that may be the case...
In MMA though?

Since I'm going full fantasy match-ups, why not have GSP do an exhibition grappling bout against Khabib before the main event, now that would be crazy! I've often said that this could be a solution to all their problems;
No weight class, no perfect record on the line so no danger for Khabib's legacy, just a sweet submission grappling bout between Khabib, who always wanted to fight his father's favorite fighter, and St-Pierre, who has often said that if he were to come back, it would only be for The Eagle...

And GSP is still training hard all the time, he's an extremely competitive guy, he would be glad to be able to do that without killing himself to make 155.

Or fuck it, throw in 10 times Olympic Gold Medalist Teddy "Bear" Riner against GSP in an openweight, amateur exhibition MMA bout with very limite striking, that would be so cool!
GSP always talks about how great Teddy is, and how successful he would have been in MMA had he started training early...

Another victim of the French Judo Federation corruption & anti-MMA stance <DCrying>

So yeah, Gane>Lewis.
Too bad Gane is such a huge favorite,
the hometown hero, Lewis, is the +265 underdog, while the visiting Frenchman, Gane, is the -315 favorite.
I was thinking of putting something on him, but
1) I'd need to put too much to make a profit
2) it's the riskiest division, one punch and you can be out
3) with the referees consistently fucking things up right now, it's way too risky to bet on MMA anyway.

Luckily, they will be going in there to fight, not have a swimsuit competition

Gane is pretty sizable favorite here but u never know with the heavies.... especially someone like BB who you cant look past.Thatd be a mistake and we still have to see more from Gane. That said, I do see him winning but if a fight with Franny somewhere down the line comes to fruition ( it could be sooner than u think ), I see Ngannou handling bitness

Im suprised this angle hasn't been mentioned at all by the UFC or the media. It's a very unique story.

Gane will make it look easy, how this greek god:

it's not about body shaming at all, its just that its Not the same A-level type shit athlete here, Gane is too skilled, trained, athletic, defensive and cautious to get caught by a Lewis bomb

Gane bless, 10-0, and new

After the disenguous post, Post you betting slip or STFU

And I will have the biggest shit eating grin if Lewis ko’s gane. I know it’s most likely going to be a jab fest mixed with leg kicks and teeps and constant movement for Gane, but if he gets sloppy at any point his lights could be put out quickly.

Game should easily win, his tools should be able to stop BB, but Lewis has turned off the lights while losing.

Anything can happen in a fight. I remember most people picked Curtis Blaydes to outwrestle Lewis and he even admitted that was his gameplan and then Blaydes went to sleep.

4 minutes 50 seconds rd 3, lewis right hand from hell. Will look the same as the Volkov fight. Lewis wins

Coming from a guy like you who have less likes than messages to a guy like me who have more likes than messages, its a bit ironic

<FookIsThatGuy>

It only takes one shot but yeah Lewis has struggled vs technical kickboxers &/or rangy guys; JDS, Hunt, & Mittrione stopping him, as well as Volkov, Browne, & Blaydes being dominant before getting slept via defensive irresponsibility.

Gane is definitely more defensively sound than any of Lewis previous opponents. Jabs, teeps, & lowkicks are Lewis's kryptonite & Gane has them in spades.

Anything can happen at HW though.

The bolded is the key to this and any other Lewis fight of course. He’s almost never “winning” a fight against a ranked guy. He’s a step behind and then he’s not and it’s over.

Agree Gane is a particularly difficult matchup. Even quicker and trickier than the guys you mentioned. But 25 minutes is a big deal — look at Overeem vs J Rozen. Challenging to keep your focus and technique and Lewis keeps his power the whole way, with Volkov being the best example.

Lewis vs Francis is more intriguing IMO because he’s the one guy who might scare Francis into not swarming with abandon and the one guy who might turn the tables on him. I’m disappointed that Gane may ruin that. Gane vs Jones or Stipe now and Lewis vs Francis this fall would’ve been better (not buying the Lewis in Houston thing personally, that show is selling out no matter what). But still, this is a fun fight too.

Black Beast is gonna sleep Gane followed by Francis. It’s his destiny to F’ up the whole HW division.

And then suddenly turn prima donna, refuse to face Stipe who has KO’d Jones in the meantime, and demand Brock Lesnar in MSG or he’s retiring.

The MMA FACTORY drama?
Yeah, I don't follow the UFC promotions as much as I used to, so I honestly didn't know if this plot point was being milked by the organisation or not...
But it is indeed a great story.

Both Dana White and Fernand Lopez have criticized N'Gannou's ego, and taking his belt was a real dick move from Dana, so I don't think Mr White would have any trouble making him look like the bad guy against "Bon Gamin" in this scenario.

"The Predator", who seeked stardom and abandoned his old mentor who got him off the mean streets of Paris to train in the US instead;
and Fernand's good student, the faithful and down-to-earth Bon Gamin, the Good Kid Ciryl Gane , who will honor his master by taking the belt and bringing it back to the Paris based MMA FACTORY

Pretty sure
Sensei Lopez even helped N'Gannou get his mojo back after the student criticized the master after losing to Stipe Miocic, and moved from Las Vegas Xtreme Couture back to France to get back to the basics after the disaster that was the Derrick Lewis fight, and in his next fight he looked well conditioned and destroyed Blaydes.
In Las Vegas, it seemed obvious that Francis only training what he enjoyed doing, and forgot all about the other stuff that Lopez would force him to do.
IIRC, after that second Blaydes win, he moved back to Las Vegas and stayed there...

Fernand Lopez won’t let Ciryl Gane get involved in his personal problems with Francis Ngannou.

Lopez, who coached both Ngannou and Gane at MMA Factory Paris, has been an integral part of both heavyweights’ rise. Ngannou tore through the ranks en route to a title shot against champion Stipe Miocic in 2018, but ultimately fell short in a lopsided unanimous decision loss.

Relations between Lopez and his star student started to deteriorate and eventually Ngannou (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) left Lopez and moved to Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. In the meantime, Gane (8-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) was also working his way up the heavyweight division and catapulted himself to the top five with a dominant win over Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the main event of UFC Fight Night 186.

So, with Gane on the cusp of title contention and Ngannou set to rematch Miocic for the heavyweight title at UFC 260, a matchup between the pair may be on the cards in the not-too-distant future. The build-up, with Ngannou’s history with Lopez, is sure to create some drama, but Lopez said he won’t let Gane be dragged into the storyline.

“It’s not a personal thing,” Lopez told MMA Junkie. “Since Day 1, Ciryl has been prepared for this, for that fight, at some point. Being prepared mentally to be split from my case. My case, my disagreement with Francis Ngannou, should not be a legacy for Ciryl Gane. I don’t need any revenge. They weren’t friends, but there was respect. I still have some tapes of Ciryl meeting Francis, talking, hugging each other.

<mma4>

“A couple months ago, a couple years ago, no months ago, that could have been personal. But it’s over,” Lopez told MMA Junkie. “It’s over in the sense that I grew up a little bit, and who made me grow up is Ciryl.
Ciryl said to me, ‘Coach, you are telling me to not make this personal,’ because any time that he’s had an interview, I would make sure if they spoke to him about Francis, I would make sure to tell Ciryl not to make a mistake. If you take this problem on your head, you will fall. You need to be free in your head. Don’t get in that beef. Just get business. You need to be free on your mindset. I’m the one who had the beef with Francis. You don’t have anything to do with that.

“And he said to me, ‘Coach, OK, I will listen to your advice. But what about you? Really, what about you? You have an amazing family. You have people that love you. I f*cking love you. I mean, we will die for you. Let it go. It’s OK. It’s over. I mean, like, the guy wasn’t cool with you, but it’s OK. You don’t need him. You don’t need to. If they ever ask you again about Francis, don’t even explain to people because people – they cannot understand. People, they are fans. They love him and we cannot change their mind. You had an experience with him. Just, if you want me to to be free, I need you to be free. So let it go.’ And I’m learning everything with that kid.”

Way more stuff inside <mma1>

I am praying to every God there is that Lewis starches Gane. Who wants this boring point fighter as champ, because if he beats lewis, he could beat Ngannou too. I give Gane about a 90% chance to beat Lewis. PLEASE DERRICK
