He outstruck Tuivasa 3.5X to 1. "if the opponent had been quicker or if he hadn't recovered so fast, it would have been over" pretty much categorizes every time anyone has ever been hit with a punch or a kick in any fight, ever. But Tuivasa WASN'T quicker. And Gane recovered fast. So how is that not to his credit? How does him being able to recover so quickly support your claim that he was desperately close to losing, and struggling mightily with what Tuivasa brought into the cage?
He won easily, he cruised, dominated and won by KO. He was in with a top ten HW on a five fight winning streak, in the UFC. This wasn't Kramer beating up little kids at the karate dojo on Seinfeld. There would be expected to be exchanges and moments for both fighters. Having difficulty for about 2% of the fight would still be cruising.
You had to stretch so hard to frame it as Gane having trouble with Tuivasa that they should have cast you in the lead role for the latest Fantastic Four remake.
