He does get credit for a quick recovery but he doesn't get credit for getting dropped in the first place. Gane is a champion kickboxer and Tuivasa has no td threat. Tuivasa has 14 wins. 13 are finishes. The guy has good power, even compared to HW, in general.

Expecting someone will make it through a fight against a top ten HW (which he still is) without ever being touched is more than a little bit of a ridiculous claim, isn't it? Especially since the knockdown happened as Gane was trying to lean away from the punch and the knockdown was as much about getting clipped hard while off balance more than it was about getting his wiring scrambled.

Usually the narrative if someone gets clipped and then pops right back up and destroys the other guy is about what a great beard they must have. But Gane? It means he was oh so close to death.

Give it a rest mate, we all watched the fight and there's literally a video in here now showing Gane getting almost lights out KO'd. That's not "cruising to a win". There's no doubt he won the fight.
