Tech Gaming Hardware discussion (& Hardware Sales) thread

Anyone familiar with this have any ideas? I've tried just about everything i can think of.

After creating a custom resolution in the GPU driver. Adjust how that resolution is applied to each display in the GPU driver. With Nvidia its in the 'Adjust desktop size and position' sub-menu.

AMD chips have always been the darkhorse of graphics cards. People assume cheaper means lower performance. But its not the case.
I have the 9070xt and it whoops ass. Honestly I came from a 4070superTI and I was so unimpressed with it. I had a 3080 before that and I swear the 3080 was better despite being an 8 gb card vs a 16 gb card. I got better performance in monsterhunter wilds without frame gen, using the AMD card

4000 series is when Nvidia started downgrading their series variant sku's. Spec wise the 4070 would be considered the X060 version of any prior series release.

Back then Cuda Core count was the main driving factor in game performance. With VRAM amount being tailored mainly towards higher resolution users.

yeah I have 2 4K monitors (One is OLED with HDR) so I wanted the vram to help with performance. It felt really lateral.

I wasn't sweating it tho because my boss bought me the 4070STI as a holiday bonus...

Thanks man, I'll give it a shot tonight!

Why do you think it works flawlessly with some games and not other, especially in the case of ME1 and 2. I tested ME3 for the hell of it, and it works fine.

<{fry}>

The 4070 Ti Super is almost 25% faster at 4k Ultra than the 3080...

dead serious, the game i tested with was resident evil 4 (2023) Both capped out about 110fps 4k on ultra. With RTX on, I felt the 4070TI performed worse than the 3080.

the one thing i miss though regarding the Nvida card, it emulates nintendo switch much much better than the AMD. And though i never thought i cared at the time, the AMD card isn't great for AI training, I never cared at the time of purchase but as i screwed around with it more on my AMD I kinda wish i could have tried it on the 4070sti

You wouldn't care so much if this was true.

<BC1>
I dont care that much, I bought a card (3080), then got a card for free (4070ti) I wasn't impressed by it, So Sold it, Got a 9070XT, and had about 100 bucks profit.

just telling you my story. Believe it or not. I can take a picture of all the boxes if I must prove a point to someone on a karate forum

With Mass Effect remastered games it was probably just a implementation oversight with ME2.

Indeed, there is no way the RTX 4070 Ti Super was performing worse than the RTX 3080 at 4K (or any resolution) with RTX on unless something in the settings wasn't identical. Something was calibrated incorrectly, or maybe you just had that experience with one game incredibly early in the game's driver support life before an update to patch the newer card.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super and RX 9070 XT are both incredible products.

What is this supposed to mean? How you are qualifying this?
