Phillips SHP9600's are $55 on Amazon. Pair that with a $20 Vmoda Boom Pro Mic and you have a headset will outperform most "gaming" headsets.

The Phillips and Boom Pro combo have been a recommended for years. You can find tons of videos and posts about the combo.




The SHP9600 is the "upgraded" version of the SHP9500, they just changed the cosmetics.

I wanna pull the plug before Zen 5 comes out.

CPU: 7600X or 7700X (it's only $7 more in the MC bundle, $105 vs $98)
Mobo: Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite Wifi or MSI Tomahawk B650 Wifi ($10 cheaper and uses a wire-free antenna)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x16gb 3000 CL30 or Teamgroup 2x16gb 3000 CL30 ($39 cheaper)
GPU: 4070 FE (better ray tracing, better upscaling) or Sapphire 7800 XT ($50 cheaper, better rasterization)

I've personally had terrible experience with MSI products, would not recommend.

If you're looking for a GPU in that 480-550 range, there is also the 7900 GRE, which is the same price as the base 4070 but trades blows with the 4070 Ti in rasterization performance. The usual caveat being that the nVidia card will kick its butt in ray tracing.

Have an MSI motherboard, great hardware. Shitty software, really fucking shitty BIOS as well. Would not recommend either.

I don't see how this wouldn't get you banned on Faceit.


This Razer software could at one time be done in CS's autoconfig. Whose usage was/is still banned by FaceIT and completely removed in CS2.

ESL's silence on this is troubling. Theyre likely waiting to see how PGL acts on Valves behest then echo it.


Valorant has a similar problem with Angle Snapping that they havent acted on yet with their anti-virus anti-cheat.

Its a review of the software from a well respected Pc FPS reviewer. Who primarily reviews mice, mousepads, keyboards and high refresh rate monitors for FPS games. He's the S Tier standard in this department.

I'm leaning towards the 9900X, upgrading my RAM from 16GB DDR4 to 32GB DDR5 and my SSD from 4TB SSD to 8TB SSD. Just standard SATA SSDs, not the NVMe ones.

Why would you stay with a SATA SSD? The difference in speeds are huge.

A Gen 5 NVME is approximately 20x faster in sequential operations and around 10x faster in random. If you need the bulk storage then I think you should get multiple drives, an NVME for your OS and software and then you can get your SATA drive for storage.

Or better yet the 980 Pro which is $30 cheaper than the the 990 Pro.

If you're just gaming, PCIe 4.0 vs 5.0 NVME drives won't make a noticeable difference, and that money is better spent elsewhere. Your game will load half a second quicker, maybe. Whoopee do.
Just make sure to get a quality drive.
