Only graph that matters, lol:

Does it matter? You GPU usually is the choke point anyways.

CSGO primarily worked off single core performance of a CPU. In CS2(Source2) this changed. It no longer solely relies on single CPU core performance and the workload is near equally shared with the GPU.

If the 5090 leaked specs are correct. CS2 should see at the very least the same percentage uplift that the 9800X3D had over the 7800X3D.

I could do with some advice from anyone ITT on getting a decent mic for both gaming and video/audio calls, for my macbook air (work/study) and my Windows PC (gaming). The connectivity of the mba is a weak point, it has 2 USB-C ports and an audio jack, although I don't know if there are mics that can actually transit your mic audio through the jack.

Voice clarity would be what matters above all.

$100-200 seems reasonable. Logitech products tend to be a bit cheaper here, too.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I have the Blue Yeti X, I highly recommend it.

The only other I had before that was the Blue Snowball.

Blue is owned by Logitech now and the Snowball has been re-branded with some RGB but the Yeti X is still sold with the original branding.

Seconded. The Blue Yeti, HyperX Quadcast, or Audio-Technica AT2020 are all great cardioid condenser options for $80. All are easily transportable and work through the USB.

As for connection:
There are two ways you can upgrade your Blue Yeti to connect to a USB-C port on your recording device. You can use USB-C male to USB-3.0 female Adapter. Alternatively, replace the supplied mic cable with a USB-mini B to USB-C Cable cable.

Went to MC today and got a 7600X3D and 4070 Super (my goal was the most efficient for gaming).
Gonna give my i5 8400 and 1070 build to my dad and he thinks it's a super computer. <lmao>

That 1070 is going to run the solitare at a smooth 60fps.

He has a 960 right now with a 7th gen dual core Pentium. Mainly for some astronomy program.

Sucks cant find a 9800x3d anywhere for normal price

AMD has followed this pattern since the 5000 series release in late 2020. Now that they have the CPU game performance lead. Theyll further start pricing their CPU's like Nvidias GPU's.
