Tech Gaming Hardware discussion (& Hardware Sales) thread

i can't believe i just watched this. lolz @ it ending up promoting a different company, anyway.

and lolz @ 6'2" being a manlet. but yeah, it seemed like their specs were off. it seemed more like it was made for 5'-5'6"

<{you!}>
Lol I was looking for a PS5 and checked antonline cause it was listed as an official site to buy Xboxes on the Microsoft website and were selling bundle packages of both.... I go there and see it says Nvidia 30 series cards.... So I clicked the link and saw it listed, immediately bought it without paying attention to the fact it said 3080,cause I assumed it was a regular retailer that offered bundles and not a reseller. I have a core-I9 now and don't even own an Intel mb

I'll start the bidding at $25.

They said the seat was best used by someone shorter then 6 feet the guy testing the seat was 5'6" inches tall hardly a giant yet the seat looked nearly perfect for his size I come in just under 6 feet and I would be uncomfortable on that chair based on the height of the reviewer in the video. I thought the price was reasonable for a razor product at 500 dollars. Many decent gaming chairs start at 350 dollars to well over 1000 dollars.

Most "gaming" chairs are made by the same company with different fabric and embroidery.

How much extra wattage do you need over and above what a PSU calculator recommends?

I'm planning an upgrade and the calculator reads 400w for all the main components. My current PSU is 650w. Is that enough of a cushion for a few fans and the Bluetooth receiver my controller uses?

Not really maybe at the sub 500 dollar range but above 500 you're getting a better chair in many cases such as lower back adjustments side bolsters better frame construction and longer life. Vast majority of people go and buy the cheapest thing they can find and for most that works. When you get above 5 grand <- yes 5 grand you get the added benefit of motorized chair with retractable arm for monitors and back massage. Or all the way up to 30 grand for an insane chair by Lamborghini. LOL

3,500 dollar chair.

Unless you're planning on putting some absurd additional hardware in your system just go with the recommendation that's listed as part of your GPU specs.

My card recommends 650 watts, and in practice my UPS Backup's software reports a max power draw of 405 watts.

Just go with a well-regarded PSU so that you know it's actually capable of delivering its advertised output.

I'm upgrading the CPU and mobo while keeping the GPU. Nvidia recommends 500W so I guess I'm still good. Thanks!

Should be. The only likely way to overshoot those recommendations is if you heavily overclock either the GPU/CPU or both.

Nope. New to me. Did a search, looks like they generated Reddit curiosity recently, too. Apparently they are a Chinese manufacturer, not a rebrander of the big boys (i.e. Micron, Samsung, etc). I'd recommend hanging back and letting the rest of the internet play the guinea pig. Probably another OLOY. Good deals, but always a gamble, especially with more aggressive frequencies.

This is Acer's "lower priced" version. The higher price point $25K(?) has hydraulics.

It used to cost 12 grand with the computer till Acer took over and his claim that there is no other gaming experience like LOL. My setup is full 4 actuators, direct drive wheel and 49 in much curved screen for thousands of thousands less and makes an amazing workspace.

perhaps @Madmick or someone more knowledgeable about monitors could help me out here. ive been meaning to upgrade my paltry 19" 60hz monitor for quite some time. last week i placed an order at Walmart for the ASUS TUF Gaming 27" Monitor that was on sale. For whatever reason it went out of stock and then delayed. IN my haste i said screw it at and got an Acer 32" Curved (from walmart as well. was on sale). when i went to pick it up i noticed that the Asus had been shipped. Im trying to figure out which one i should keep. I plugged in the 32" and my god is it huge. I set the refresh rate in windows to 165hz (144hz with HDMI. 165 with displayport). I know people say that 1080p gaming on 32" looks like shit but to be honest, I came from an Acer SQ200L. anything is an upgrade from that thing. I just dont know which i should keep or return. Perhaps someone who can read specs better than me could point me in the right direction. To me they both have comparable specs.

Right now this thing is wobbly as ever hell and doesnt look steady at all. beautiful as hell but wobbly.

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700x
Mobo: Asus ROG-STRIX B350-F Gaming
GPU: XFX RX 580 8GB
Memory: 2x4Gb 2400Hz RipJaws

IF the specs are accurate, keep the acer. the asus is smaller and costs more but has otherwise identical specs. of course, asus has a much better reputation.

I am considering getting another dog I just hated when my other dog passed of cancer at 12 years of age. I have trouble dealing with loss of a pet especially a dog due to their short life expectancy. I also live on my own in a house and my dog would likely not get the attention he or she would need in a day due to my schedule.

if the latter's true, there's always dogwalkers. or friend/neighbor, if applicable.
