ok. So you are conceding that the system came out during the NES era.
Have you tried Slay the Spire?Tried to get into FF13 at one point but I just couldn't. Might give it another shot on GP.

I can't believe I'm this addicted to a goddamn phone game, but it's a fantastic casual card game ($10 on Android/iOS, $25 on Playstation/Xbox/PC when not discounted). It's from 2017, and it's on Game Pass. Highly recommend. It's great decompression after competitive MP.
Doesn't look like my type of game. I've said that before though and I've been wrong. Might as well give it a shot.
As of today, Night School Studio is joining the Netflix team.
Over the last few months, we've had countless thoughtful chats about our respective visions for where we see games, storytelling, and our collective opportunity for positive impact somewhere in the middle.
Night School wants to stretch our narrative and design aspirations across distinctive, original games with heart. Netflix gives film, TV, and now game makers an unprecedented canvas to create and deliver excellent entertainment to millions of people. Our explorations in narrative gameplay and Netflix's track record of supporting diverse storytellers was such a natural pairing. It felt like both teams came to this conclusion instinctively.
Of course, it's a surreal honor to be the first games studio to join Netflix! Not only do we get to keep doing what we do, how we like to do it, but we get a front-row seat on the biggest entertainment platform in the world. The Netflix team has shown the utmost care for protecting our studio culture and creative vision. We'll keep making OXENFREE II. We'll keep cooking up new game worlds.
For now, there's a kaleidoscope of butterflies in our team's collective stomachs. (Apparently that's what you call a group of butterflies?) Because we truly believe we've got a chance to positively impact the way people discover, play, and share story games with each other.
LET'S GO.
We are creating a future that combines the gaming heritage of Xbox and the power of Azure. A future where we bring high fidelity, immersive games to more than 3 billion players around the world. We're now taking another step forward to reach that vision: Xbox Cloud Gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is launching in Brazil and Mexico later today, and Australia and Japan on October 1, as announced at Tokyo Game Show.
With the expansion of Xbox Cloud Gaming to gamers in Australia, Brazil, Japan and Mexico, we're now opening the opportunity for over one billion people in 26 countries across five continents to be able to play Xbox Game Pass games from the cloud on their phones, tablets and PCs.
This journey to bring Cloud Gaming to these four new countries has been a true community partnership. As we've tested through our preview program, we have learnt so much from the gamers who participated. Thanks to players in Brazil, who filled our cloud gaming servers even before we announced our Preview launch. And gamers in Mexico who made Gears 5 our most played game in preview. In Australia and Japan, it has been awesome to see the embrace of touch controls with Minecraft Dungeons. We simply wouldn't be here today without this partnership, thank you.
I just saw the notification in the Xbox app that Destiny 2 (including all expansions) has arrived on Game Pass for PC. Previously, it was only available to Xbox users.

I think the lack of supply of the new Xboxes is undoubtedly also contributing to this deceleration, but I think IGN is right, and the first party releases are the primary point of increased sales, so the lack of major releases so far this year is the cause of stagnation. After all, despite whatever is going on with hardware supply, there was a slight spike in XSX/XSS sales following the E3 presentation earlier this year. I expect another spike when Halo: Infinite drops, since that's been the most successful franchise in Xbox history. In a new financial statement, Microsoft revealed that Xbox Game Pass subscriptions rose by 37.5% falling short of its internal target of 47.8%. In contrast, last year Microsoft over-performed on its targets to grow Xbox Game Pass, increasing subscriptions by nearly 86% over a goal of 71%.
What this means is that Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscriptions have slowed this past year, and it’s likely a combination of factors. One of the key promises of Xbox Game Pass is that first-party titles will be available on the service day and date. So far in 2021, first-party titles have been relegated mostly to Age of Empires remasters, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Psychonauts 2.
New first-party titles like Age of Empires 4 and Halo Infinite are still months away and will deliver on Game Pass’ promise of major first-party day and date releases.
Xbox Game Pass Subscriber Growth Slowed Down This Year
Xbox Game Pass subscriptions are up, but they could be more up.
Nevertheless, the total subscribers has apparently passed 30 million. That represents a 51.5% subscription rate relative to all XSX/XSS & Xbox One sales. Meanwhile, PS Plus has 47.6m subscribers, having lost subscribers for the first time in history in the most recent quarter. That represents a 36.8% subscription rate relative to all PS5 and PS4 sales.
The difference in strategies has never been as stark. Sony is focused on hardware sales, where its global lead continues to mature at a 3:2 sales advantage, and fees on individual game sales, where Xbox has zero presence in the top charts, while the Nintendo Switch dominates, with PS4 game sales as its only serious competition. Microsoft is focused on maximizing engagement of its base (and Windows PC gamers) with Game Pass.
The current speculation is that the user count was around 21 million at the end of FY21. After Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick suggested that Game Pass had around 30 million subscribers in a live discussion for The Wrap at the end of September, with Xbox boss Phil Spencer choosing to keep cards close to his chest, this number was quickly countered by Windows Central’s Jez Corden, who said the figure was around 21 million at the end of the previous quarter (June 21), and VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, who said it was around 20 million.
This adds up. If 15 million subscribers was actually reached at the end of June 2020 and not September, then a 37% growth over the following year would lead to 20.55 million subscribers. This would be an annual growth of around 5-6 million, compared to roughly 7 million for the previous year.
Supposedly that 30m figure was picked out of the air by Zelnick
Speculation at the end of June this year (Microsoft Fiscal Q4) the count was around 21m which pretty much lines up with the 37% increase if the number from FY20 was around 15m which was announced in September last year when the announcement of the Zenimax purchase first broke.

But with Halo Infinite's release i would not be surprised in the slightest if 25m is either very close or passed by the end of the year.
To accelerate growth, perhaps, since it isn't expanding quite as explosively as it was previously, but do you apply the same urgency to PS Plus since its membership is actually declining?Pretty simple, GamePass needs content. Badly. Doesn’t come as any real surprise.
Sony isn’t hanging it’s entire future on it so no lol.To accelerate growth, perhaps, since it isn't expanding quite as explosively as it was previously, but do you apply the same urgency to PS Plus since its membership is actually declining?
