Television Game of Thrones S08E06 Discussion Thread: Burn them all! (the writing staff) | Our Watch has ended

I really wish Dany didn’t snap. She came so far just to make one terrible decision and lose everything.
I agree but that's the whole point of the show, how each character grew and changed for the better or for the worse. The whole series can be seen as a coming-of-age tale. Remember, most of the Stark kids are 5-14 in the beginning. Dany is around that age too. Its about the loss of innocence, the discovery of courage, the bonds of family, and benching teh 275.

What makes you think Ned wanted rid of him? Jon wanted to join but kept being told no.
Ned wanted him to join the watch after he was made the Kings hand because Jon would have no place in Kings Landing, and Catelyn did not want him to stay in winterfell

He was effectively exiled, it just so happened that he thought it was his choice. And no one warned him what he was in for. It was a super fucked up thing to do to a 14 year old.

wow, that pic makes me as hard as Valyrian Steel.

I'd hit that so hard, Ramsey would think I was being too rough with her:)

I dont recall Ned ever pushing him to go.

He just has an uncle there, and wasnt entitled to much in Winterfell. It was the natural place for him to go,wether he was a secret targ or a bastard.

I could be mixing my memory with the books, maybe it was handled more gently in the TV show
because I remember it being a shitty thing to do to a 14 year old

- Big Woman of Fucking Tarth updating Jamie's entry in the Knight's Book was actually a nice scene. Only slightly spoiled by the fact all that lovely writing is now smeared all over the pages since she closed the book without letting it dry.

Lol. I know right?

Everyone thing you said is correct and I agree. I can't help but feel sorrow and pity for the former Lord Commander and King. He really was an amazing character and his biggest weakness was he lacked the ethically flexibility and dishonour to not play the Game of Thrones which put him in his current position and contributed to Dany's descent into madness. I truly hope this isn't the last we see of him and this story is revisited in a new mini-series or movie at some point down the road.

He was offered a giant pile of gold to kill them, paid in advance, and was offering to let them buy their way out, as Tyrion asked him to do years ago.

I know you know this, but I'm saying it to you because you're the least likely to go "herp derp nope".
Exactly. He came and had Tyrion match the offer, i’d say partially out of friendship, and dipped
Honestly the new council was my favorite part

Bronn remains the shows worst character post season 4

You know Yara made it through the whole thing, right?
Bronn remains the SECOND worst character since season 4

Also you guys both know the entire Bronn thing was stupid. Yes, we get that he gave Tyrion his bud the chance to double the offer
but that entire thing was just there to give a popular character some screen time

fack off men
