Television Game of Thrones S08E06 Discussion Thread: Burn them all! (the writing staff) | Our Watch has ended

Honestly, all of the problems I have with the show are the Casuals' fault.
They're the ones who bought the stupid merch, the stupid "I drink and I know things" shirts, the liscence plates, all the bullshit that is so malignant and boring, so D&D thought that's where the show was connecting with viewers and that's why we're where we're at.
I used to work for HBO in 2013.

Thats how i know about the Longclaw Umbrella

Bronn is probably my favorite character, but to have him as Lord of the Reach and Master of Coin is nuts. He should have been hiring onto Arya's ship to avoid arrest and execution.
His position as master of coin makes no sense at all. He has no qualifications for the position. He's good at killing people. Nothing else really.

It's still a horseshit stupid explanation. However, it's an explanation and at this point I don't care enough to argue about GoT. So...all is good.

"Why did the people living at Castle Black use their wall tunnel when there's already a hole in the wall at Eastwatch several hundred miles away?" is not an argument.

In fact, no one here actually know what you are talking about.

Everyone forgot about Quiathe, the Wizards of Qarth, Jaqen (my fav character by far), the Reeds, all of these interesting storylines that sprinkled GOT with cool mysticism and intrique, and instead worshipped at the alter of fucking Daenerys, Sansa, Arya and feminine power altogether.

That's their rights as fans and viewers, but don't come bitching that the show is rushed and stale when literally all you :eek::eek:s have been clammoring for is Daenerys to come to Westeros. Remember in season 4 when everyone was complaining that she wasn't in Westeros? Remember people shitting on season 5 for actually developing characters and relationships? "WE WANT TO SEE DROGON SMASH ALREADY". Then he does and they say it's rushed, even though if you hold them accountable for their words, it's 3 1/2 seasons too late haha.
Dont forget they run rampant on redshit whore posting their lame theories. So glad the writers rustled their jimmies. Best show and best ending of series in decades.

Sure, but at the moment King's Landing is defenseless, unless you count the Unsullied, who are gonna leave. It sets a terrible precedent. Are you telling me Yara Greyjoy isn't going to speak up? Or Dorne? Dorne still has forces, a new Prince, and is almost impossible to conquer without dragons. Why should he pledge allegiance to the creepy Northern cripple? That entire scene was probably the worst of the episode.

Even with Dragons Dorne would be difficult to conquer. Keeping in mind that Aegon the Conqueror could never do it, and he had the biggest dragon ever with Balerion the Dread..

They owed him Highgarden. But Master of Coin, might as well made Tormund the Master of Whispers and Ghost the Master of War.

I’ve got some GOT finale depression going on. I think Jon and Dany’s story is so tragic. Jon having to kill his love, family member and queen before being exiled for a second time to the watch. The guy has been through so much and always put others in front of himself. A true public servant and the one true king in the north from this day until his last day.

Why do they owe him Highgarden? A deal made at crossbow point?

He got what he wanted from s1, to be a ranger north of the wall

interesting, another member of the council revealed. I actually like that, Sansa slapped some sense into him

I kept staring at this young handsome dude, like who is he? This cannot possibly be the little retard. "Make the bad man fly!!!"
Another idiotic D&D blunder. Did they forget that a retard doesnt just all of a sudden become normal, chill, balanced individual as this young man came off.
It must be so liberating to change character from one episode to another in any way or form you need.

I really wish Dany didn’t snap. She came so far just to make one terrible decision and lose everything.

And you still aren't a Stark, Jon. Ouch.

Another thing: did anyone else that Cersei and Daenarys met kind of similar ends? Both evil queens ended up kind of sweet at the moment of death in the arms of the men they loved. Btw. I get now why they couldn't have Jaime stabbing Cersei - it would have been too much of the same thing two episodes in a row.
Those two mirrored each other a lot in the series it seems
