Television Game of Thrones S08E06 Discussion Thread: Burn them all! (the writing staff) | Our Watch has ended

The memes are too good. We should have have a seperate thread.

My neighbors must think I'm going insane, every meme cracks me up more than the last.

That Jon/Dany death scene in the throne room did not feel like Game of Thrones. I felt like I was watching something different. Jon and Dany loving each other is fake as hell, so him killing her meant nothing. Not even the music made it feel like this really was the moment.

And something was up with the frame rate in that scene. It was so weird.

That's the thing.. a lot was clearly rushed this season.. But it started in s7.. These 2 fell in love like it was nothing.. barely any screen time showing them falling in love.. a clear lack of chemistry didn't help

Probably didn't help that these 2 (especially danny) are legit the worse actors out of the main crew

I just never brought the relationship and Jon killing her didn't bring the feels or anything.. Unlike when his Wildling lover died.. Imagine if Jamie had done that to Cercei.. that's how we should have been feeling

Also Jon was just a straight up fawning bitch in regards to Danny.. even my partner was calling him pathetic.. "she is my queen" repeated 100x an episode

lmao you guys fucking LOVE Dany holy shit.
It's' been a hue revelation that so many of you don't even like the show, you just like the hot blonde bitch.
Probably my least favorite character, after Season 8 Cersei, but the fact we're never shown Jon's capture was a mistake. We just saw Grey Worm executing people in the street and almost starting a fight with Jon, but when he finds Jon and somehow knows he killed Dany we don't get to see his reaction. Jon is just in a cell and Tyrion is voting on the new King after Grey Worm told him not to talk. You'd have more credibility if you would acknowledge anything can be bad.

WEISS: ...I’m hoping we get the Breaking Bad [finale] argument where it’s like, “Is that an A or an A+?” I want that to be the argument.

Summary of how rushed this all was

EP 1 and 2- Omg! We need to kill the Night King!

EP 3- Kill night king

EP 4- Omg we need to kill cersei!

EP 5 pt 1- kill cersei

Ep5 pt 2- Omg we need to kill Dany!

Ep6 pt 1- kill dany

Ep6 pt 2- now we'll all get along and decide who will rule us with no major objections

Yep it's just horse shit.. Imagine being such assholes that you won't give the GOAT series it's proper send off..

10 episodes was needed.. I guess they feel pissing on the corpse of Star Wars is more important?

He loved her but didnt want to fuck her

Could've saved thousands

Better story than Bran is gonna be the new better love story than Twilight.

Literally everyone in that meeting, including the people who never said a fucking word, had a better story than that weirdo.
Lets hope so...

"we kinda forgot" has already become a legendary meme

Good question.

Just like the other 10000000 questions we could ask about bran that well never get the asnwer to
lol, like wtf was he doing during the Battle of Winterfell?

wow, that pic makes me as hard as Valyrian Steel.

Can't believe we got Arya's Itty bitty titties and not these

If there was gonna be a Stark girl's bewbies eventually, odds would have been 10:1 in favor of Sansa's

idk what is so confusing about Bran to you people.
He's not a marvel superhero.

He knows the "Worlds History" as he's stated, and is a god-like figure that sees the world and it's past and probable outcomes.

Yeah, when I read she turned 18 during the Vale season, my brain went "Soon, sooon." Not so much.

Man as a dude who likes lore and world building that's another bummer of the layer seasons

The world feels so confined. Its not even that much more confined, but with people teleporting everywhere and stuff it feels so cramped and small which is a big difference

And the lore of the show was just insignificant

Idk why ya’ll thought Jon was ever or will ever be king in this story
True, i get that the show was never gonna have that happy ending but the books and show even more set him up to be king, what was the point of him being Rhaegars and Lyannas kid lol.

Im cool with him going north, he's been through some shit but bran being king is nonsensical and silly.
