As soon as Pelosi decided we weren't going to impeach, I knew Trump was fucked. She was playing actual 4-D chess. She has significantly tamped down the ability to cry about partisanship when he does get clipped.

I think the emphasis was on "non-violent".

Disagree, strongly. Manafort is small-scale. He exposed himself by getting involved with a controversial political campaign. There are many, many people evading taxes on a much larger scale who will never be prosecuted and who are not at all deterred by Manafort's convictions.

He isn't small scale when he is working with Russian intelligence to influence who gets to be the most powerful person in the world, and there is non-violent and there is non-violent, with one type being poor and powerless youth going to hard core penitentiaries for selling drugs, and the other being the elite and powerful going to the equivalent of an all inclusive federal resort for financial crimes with a value more than an entire cell block's at Angola.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Special Counsel’s Office on Friday asked a court to delay sentencing for U.S. President Donald Trump’s former deputy campaign chairman, Rick Gates, amid “ongoing investigations” stemming from the Russia investigation.

In a filing with the U.S. District Court in Washington, U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller cited Gates’ continued cooperation with multiple probes and asked permission to update the judge on the case again by May 14.

“Gates continues to cooperate with respect to several ongoing investigations, and accordingly the parties do not believe it is appropriate to commence the sentencing process at this time,” Mueller’s team said in the court filing.

What do you mean by "Trump's campaign colluded with Russia"?

Four pathways that we know of :

1. Trump Tower meeting about "Russian Adoptions" with a Russian agent.
2. Manafort giving polling data to Russian Intel connected Ukranaian.
3. Stone talking to Assange/Wikileaks about hacked material, and then tampering with an intimidating witnesses about it.
4. Sater: "Our boy can become president of the USA and we can engineer it,” wrote Sater. “I will get all of [Vladimir] Putins [sic] team to buy in on this, I will manage this process.… I will get Putin on this program and we will get Donald elected.” Echoing a line that would later become Trump’s own description of why he and Putin might get along, Sater wrote that the Russian leader “only wants to deal with a pragmatic leader, and a successful business man is a good candidate for someone who knows how to deal.”...Michael I arranged for Ivanka to sit in Putins [sic] private chair at his desk and office in the Kremlin.”

Again, Manafort is a small-scale tax evader. I think you and I agree on that.

We don't know that Manafort attempted to, as you put it, "work with Russian intelligence to influence" the 2016 election. We know that Mueller has alleged that Manafort shared some internal polling data with Kilimnik. To my knowledge, we also have no evidence that Kilimnik works for or as worked for the GRU. The most I've seen is that around 1990 Kilimnik might have worked for the Soviet army as a translator. Then the USSR collapsed in 1991 and he had to scramble around for work. That information comes from this Politico article, which relies on anonymous sourcing including CIA sources.

Of course, I agree with this.

the Special Counsel investigation is going nowhere for years with the spin offs, but it looks like the report is months away as well.

I would still vote for him over and democrat except Tulsi if that were the case.

Don’t blame me for the left moving so far they no longer mesh with reality (women have penises, Green new deal, etc).

Green new deal is a good idea. Women with penises is something you pulled from your browser history.

Small-scale compared to whom Walter Anderson, Al Capone? <JagsKiddingMe>

And what, you expect Kilimnik to have his connections to Russian Intelligence listed on his Linkedin page? You want video of him handing documents over to someone sporting a baseball hat with a GRU logo? You want a picture of him with a GRU tattoo like correctional officers need to prove that some cretinous gangbanger is affiliated with MS-13? You look at the circles he worked and socialized in, you listen to the intelligence gleaned from informants who ran in those same circles, and you ask yourself how someone could not be connected with Russian intelligence and do the work he did, and it's clear. Your defense lawyer epistemology when it comes to treachery in the real world is purposely doctrinaire.

"Yes" - @waiguoren

Again, Manafort's tax fraud---as far as we know---was small-scale. He was convicted of failing to pay $6 million in federal income tax. Large-scale would be Walter Anderson, who failed to pay over 25 times that much.

No, I'd like some actual evidence instead of just speculation.

This is how out of touch I am: I've only read about Beto O'Rourke in headlines and have never watched a video with him in it.

This is how cool I am: the "second coming of Jesus" air that's being built up around him is absurd and I wear a grey silk smoking jacket.

Manafort failed to file reports for foreign bank accounts, filed false income tax returns, committed bank fraud, tampered with witnesses, and not only wouldn't help the special counsel, but actually tried to double cross the special counsel while feeding info back to Trump Et al's joint defense agreement think tank, and he only got 7.5 years. Fucking dumbass Wesley Snipes got 3 years for 3 misdemeanor charges of failing to file tax returns alone! Manafort got off easy, and his lawyers still felt the need to lie about what the judge actually said in their protracted attempts to communicate with Trump by bullshit semaphore for a pardon for Manafort in exchange for him continuing not to cooperate with Mueller..

As far as your not finding the evidence sufficient for Kilimnik being connected to Russian intel:
