Giving Trump more control of the judiciary (giving him a friendly AG to rein in investigations as you want) is not ensuring independence.

This judiciary is interpreting and applying the law in these Trump investigations. There are no claims whatsoever that they have manufactured new laws in order to pursue his circles crimes. They are applying existing laws.

NO it does not. MORE ignorance from you. The FBI director. The CIA director. Homeland, etc, none of them swear an oath to the POTUS. They do so to the COUNTRY.

Your problem is you equate the POTUS to the COUNTRY as if this is N./Korea or a dictatorship where they will tell you they are one in the same.

All of these offices would have a role in taking down and removing a POTUS if his interests were shown to be adverse to the countries as they are responsible to the country.

You do a JOB for a boss. You do not owe or give them fealty. They can earn your respect and your loyalty over time. You really need to move to N.Korea if you want that system as that is not the one the US has.

That is not a one way street. If the POTUS is the problem he should be removed. Criminal charges should be brought. And they should lead that process.

Remember cooperation does not mean 'no jail time'. They weigh your cooperation versus the seriousness of what you expose and you can still get time. Example is Cohen getting 3 years. Manafort coming clean with Mueller and the SDNY might still get him 10 years as I think his crimes, should he confess them all, would be so offensive that a judge might ignore the sentencing recommendation.

So Manafort may have decided he was fucked either way. Might as well gamble for a pardon and maybe made on last deal with either Russians or Trump to ensure his family was taken care of either way.
