Gaethje made 300k beating Chandler, if he contends vs Oliveira in a PPV main event he most likely, as a big profile fighter gets PPV points as a contender, which if the card does well is around 750k ontop of 300k, so as a contender vs Oliveira he'll probably break a mill. If he beats Oliveira, he gets to rework his contract, bigger % cut and higher base pay as champion, probably makes 1.5-2m fighting Islam. Vs Conor I dont know they do it, but I know they let Conor get real pieces of revenue and he makes north of 10m fighting each time in the UFC, I'd imagine Gaethje would make around 3-5m vs Conor.

Gaethje will never get PPV points without the belt.

That’s not how professional sports work… the president or commissioner can’t just cherry pick fights because of favoritism or potential PPV sales.

It’s always been the best fight the very best and Conor hasn’t won a damn fight since forever -> therefore impossible for him to be “the very best”.

He wanted to beat Khabib, Poirier and Conor and call it a career. That was before Conor lost twice to Poirier. At this point he considers Conor completely irrelevant and thinks he has to earn his spot in the line.
