Love Justin but one win over Fizzy after getting corpsed doesn't really fly for a title shot.
Hollaway deserves it more than Justin. A fight with Paddy is actually perfect for him, if he beats the Baddy, that's a title shot instantly, if Paddy wins, it's a good enough streak for me to say give him a shot if no one else is lined up to fight Ilia.

Its the perfect fight to make, Gaethje doesn't deserve another shot already, and Paddy needs 1 more big win to deserve one too.

They want pimblett in a title fight and they want to give him the easiest path to get there. I dont think they'll give him anyone ranked above #6 IF they even make him take another fight before a title shot. The UFC is probably dangling a Pimblett title fight as a carrot in front of potential new streaming partners.

Gaethje is behind max and arman imo. he should take the paddy fight if he wants to stay relevant.
If paddy gets the title shot he should retire because he is not getting a title shot until late 2026 or 2027 by sitting out. One thing i hate about this sport is rank squatters.

Gaethje acting very entitled. He acts like the Holloway fight was an exhibition and it didn’t count. But dude, everybody saw you get outclassed and flatlined one fight ago and that same guy also just beat your best win. You’re going to need to do more than beat a guy you already beat on short notice.

Would gladly see Gaethje retire. A one dimensional striker who gets dropped in over half of his fights? This guy was NEVER as good as the UFC wanted us to believe.
I'm absolutely not disputing that he's exciting but I legitimately question that he was ever "elite". I think he was a good but not great fighter who benefitted by coming along when the division was getting old just like how Stipe did at HW.
Now instead of being a "fight anyone anytime" guy he's now trying to cherry pick another gifted title shot coming off of a very unimpressive win? Pffft good riddance. We have enough rank squatters in MMA and I'd gladly see another one depart

Because the least embarrassing likely result for Paddy in that fight would be Ilia KOing him in six seconds or so. It rates to be a terrible match that flatlines Paddy's career and does nothing for Ilia's.

Justin lost recently to both guys who just got their clocks cleaned by the champ. If he’s gonna get that last title shot he’s better show why he deserves it and not wait in line til the game passes him by.

he's smart for doing this, as long as they dont give it to armen he's a clear front runner. Taking the max fight was how he lost out on the islam fight. He should learn from that lesson, and do what dustin and charles did, have a title fight fall into his lap off one win.
