People underestimate the importance of size. There are weight classes for a reason, and people kill themselves cutting weight for a reason. 155 to 170 is quite a big gap.

Khabib is only one fight away from becoming undisputed GOAT, if he beat Usman in a 5 round championship fight for the WW title, that would be extremely impressive, yet he refuses to challenge him

This point could be made without insinuating that the greatest LW cage fighter of all time is a coward. But I do wonder how khabib would do against bigger guys who have wrestling backgrounds.

Everyone has a weak spot, people are just not planning properly for Khabib. If you listen to fighters talking about strategies there is a lot of stuff we simply don´t see, loved to hear Holyfield saying how he studied Mike Tyson and there as Muay Thai fighter who has a Youtube channel that I love listening Gabriel Varga, he goes in depth on how he defeated "better" fighters with strategy.

Someone needs to fight Khabib in the middle of the octagon and go all out with knees/kicks without fear of takedowns.

I don't think being able to make weight has anything to do with the question.

Khabib wants to be remembered as a GOAT. In my eyes the evaluative factors are level of competition, number of defenses and double champ status (last one being a bonus).

Yes Khabib has fought insane competition. However, since he only has 3 defenses, I would have expected him to challenge himself by going up, especially when it's a division filled by wrestlers just like him, which would really ciment legacy and his skills.

I don't know how you guys see it, our opinions might differ. And that's coming from a big Khabib fan

I'm not going to say Khabib is ducking. If he can make 155, then more power to him if he wants to stay there. Or just retire.

But let's not forget that Conor won the 145 belt before moving back up to 155 and winning the belt there. That was exciting to see him test himself like that. I'd also find it exciting (even more so considering his being undefeated) to see Khabib test himself by returning to 170 and fighting for the belt there.

did you see colby vs woodley? colby toyed with woodley. khabib may have better grappling skills but is no way bigger or stronger than twood.

and if he is.... he def. should be fighting at 170.
