This is a Strength and Conditioning forum. There is a significant difference.
Bodybuilding is an aesthetic competition for who looks the best. Bodybuilders are in terrible physical shape when they step out on stage for competition. They look massive, but have terrible physical performance. It's basically a dog and pony show for men to judge other men on how good they look naked. Wow. Real cool stuff.
Strength and Conditioning is an exercise philisophy that's meant to increase your performance in whatever sport you partake in. It doesn't give a single shit what you look like or how big any muscles are. It's only purpose is to increase your strength and physical conditioning, I.E. limit strength, muscular endurance, cardio, recovery, injury prevention.
See the difference now? Bodybuilding is about looks. Strength and conditioning is about performance. Bodybuilders look like they are in shape and aren't. People who do strength and conditioning might not have the best triceps development and a rack of abs, but they are strong and fast. If you want to lift weights to look pretty to other men, then go to bodybuilding.com and hang out in their forums. If you want to learn how to get more powerful for your sport, then stay in S&C.
So you increased your work load drastically and decreased your recovery? No wonder you've lost weight from your 1RM.
