Fuji BJJ Gi Review

From what I have seen online and such the only thing I would have a problem with is the pants closure system. It looks like the loops needs to be a little closer together...

I agree...I love the pants but one con is there are only two loops, opposed to three and they're far apart.

They couldve added a third loop in the middle front or placed the two loops closer together.

Can anyone comment on the shrinkage? What if you put the gi in the dryer?

I've had mine about a month now. No complaints.

As for sizing: I'm 6 ft/180pd. The A3 fit me perfectly upon arrival. After a few washings it's now a little small.

I just got mine. I'm about 190 pounds and I bought a A-4. The Jacket fits just fine after some shrinking but the pants are huuuuuge! I can fit my whole family in there!
But still, a nice looking gi.

6'1" and around 200lbs and the a3 fit great when i got it and with a bit of unintentional shrinking it now fits me almost like an a2. love the pants though.

great gi if you like the look of patches and such.

sorry for the confusion there, I actually ordered it from Bodovideos on the 20th and it came the 25th which is pretty quick as it came from Cali to NY

Paid around $70

I rolled in it this morning and loved it. I'll let you know how it compares to my kikskin single weave after I roll in the FUJI a few more times as well as a few washer machine runs on it.

I washed in cold water and tugged on the sleeves before hangng it up to dry.

Still working on getting someone to take the pics of it on me.

Got mine last Friday. A2 fits great and I haven't washed it yet. Hopefully it doesn't shrink as much. I have an mkimono A2 and Fuji has a more snug fit (not by much) I like the fit better.

Thanks to this thread, looks like I made a good decision.

Got mine a few days ago, A3, so a bit big for me (5'8" 170lbs)

ooohhh shrinking mine as we speak... Very excited ;)

discountmas.com has a very good price on these, best ive seen on the interwebz

I just got mine yesterday. 5'6" and 158 Lbs. A1 fit great, pants are long though. I washed them today. Hopefully it does not shrink much.

Wow A1 fits? Don't shrink it, one bit. I got A2 (155, 5'6) and I shrunk it for about 10 minutes and it shrank quite a bit - fits like a glove now.

How is it after shrinking? Pictures? I'm 5'8" 168lbs and can't deside between A2 and A3...

Hopefully he posts pictures that convince you to get the A3. Just my opinion, go A3 and shrink it to fit how you'd like.

I am 5'7 154lbs with a solid low BF frame and the a2 fits snug without shrinking it on my own.

Unless you want to be wearing a shortsleeve gi, id advise A3 and shrinking on your own.

Look at my pictures I posted here, look at the sleeve length.

I like mine, but the jacket is quite abrasive.

I have tried loads of fabric softener, but that just makes me smell like a woopsie.

I have an A5, and am 6ft, 195 lbs. It was the right size after 10 washes.

I like Fuji, cos they don't have massive logos on. Never bought a Koral just because of that.

I think this is very odd because my blue fuji is a million times softer than my white atama single. it may be because of the dye though. I just wore the pants and my teammate wore the jacket at the last naga and they're still doing great.

UPDATE
After using the gi about 3 times I saw that there's a hole starting on the upper back.

I followed instructions in washing. Is this normal for this quality of gi?

I bought it from Hatashita. What do you guys think I should do? I really like the gi so I wouldn't mind getting another one as long as it does not break again.

Do you guys think I'll have a chance for an exchange?

What are your experiences with the gi after rolling?
