Looks like this release resulted in a wave of downloads that crashed their servers. It's down right now, and it just went down. I was browsing the games when suddenly I got hit with the "Temporarily Offline" page after clicking a link.

It's working again but I keep getting this message when I download a zip file and attempt to unzip the first time. I just ignore it.

Fuck off, Microsoft. I need your "protection" as much as the pizza shop owners in NY need protection provided by an Italian in a wife beater carrying a baseball bat.

The way Warner Bros. has been running this game has been so smart. This was one of only three games since 2007 to outsell the annual Call of Duty installment in the USA, btw (GTA V & RDR2 are the others). That's a streak that is under threat because Microsoft's ability to nosedive acclaimed franchises they acquire under studios they have purchased is somehow so tremendous it can fuck up even an unfuckable golden goose like COD, LOL, but that's a tangent for another discussion.

So Warner Bros. racked up all the money in the first two years of its release, then they put it on Playstation Plus in June, Game Pass & Luna (for Amazon Prime subscribers) in October, and now free on Epic in December. It's hit an $8.99 sale price on every major platform, including Steam for PC users, and it even remains at that price for the digital edition on Nintendo Switch where nothing is ever discounted.

So when they release the sequel they will have tripled the horde of people who already bought and played it in the first two years salivating for the storyline to continue.

That's some goddamn 4D chess for you. Other publishers: pay attention.

NHL games are what I've missed most on PC from consoles, this is great news!

How is EA not shutting this down?
