and it was shit show ..... So was Jake P crap................Are we to learn Nothing.......

Francis will be irrelevant outside the UFC. He better start pray Fury blesses him with a fight or else he will be broke within a couple of years.

yea, you missing the point, that's why I said, tyson will sell the shit out of it. Francis just needs to be a big muscular prop and have a title of ufc champ. Tyson will sell this shit, it is easy money.
so now we are just Pulling Tyson out of asses now ,, Mike is 56's and smoking weed like 2 pack day OG lol.... this isnt Roy Jones Jr... vs Tyson... this some guy... who been champ in ufc... Shrugs...

One legged brawlers?

The fuck are you smoking?

Ngannou is arguably the #1 scariest HW we have ever seen. Guys like him probably come around once a decade. Guy is a freak of nature.

Are we talking about the same guy that was scared shitless by Derek Lewis?

you asked how it's favorable as if you didn't know the reasons, and then argued with yourself on the reasons lol

Jones can wrestle. Ciryl got taken down by Francis. Jones is also the GOAT at MMA and has never lost, Ciryl has very few professional fights. Jones still has reach.

No idea other than what google says. I'm sure there's other checks written that aren't just what the UFC pays them for their purse. If those guys made that much money I don't know what the source is cause that wasn't their purse.

They've stated as much themselves, as have a lot of other champions. This is common knowledge at this point. Googling does fuck all. There used to actually be a template for old PPV structures that got leaked over a decade ago that even went over how it scaled as buys increased which is dated but if anything fighters have gotten better pay and more negotiating power since. Champions and major draws make almost all of their money tied to the PPV and not from the disclosed purse through commissions. The UFC has always been very intentional about this. Very few champions make no PPV points, like Mighty Mouse and Aljo I know didn't got for some of their defenses and struggled to finally get pieces. You think GSP was making 400k to fight Jake Shields? Jesus Christ.

tyson fury...not mike tyson.

tyson fury...not mike tyson.
thats more a dream fury tested waters remember Specailly now that France would EX champ of UFC... i really dont think worth risk sit out for but to eh his own right... ( my bad on Tyson thing running on no sleep here..)

It’s good for both parties actually. No issues with this. Francis wanted freedom to do various things like boxing and UFC wants a guy who is all in with the UFC.

???

Francis got PPV points. He sold no PPV's. So how much money do you think he made off of 300k-400k PPV's?

He also is not nearly as skilled or decorated as GSP, Usman, Izzy, or DC -- the ones mentioned.

So no, I don't know his exact number, but no idea how I'd arrive at several million dollars off of a 600k purse and paltry PPV numbers

Hard to say but I'm pretty confident they offered him a lot to stay, around 4-8m a fight. So at a minimum per very old metrics he should get 1 dollar per sale for every PPV bought between 200k and 399k and 2 dollars per for every PPV from 400k to 600k that he headlined and 2.50 per PPV for every one above 600k sales minimum. So at the very least, if he got a cookie cutter championship headliner cut from 2010 it would be an additional 600k but most likely it was more than that, you get to renegotiate your contract once becoming champion.

Depressing news. I really wanted to see Francis vs Jones. So close.

People are underestimating how many people would watch Fury vs. Ngannou. Yes, we've seen MMA fighters get beat by boxers the last several years, but they always bring attention. And even if Ngannou loses, he still gets paid millions and then can easily come back to MMA and still get an immediate title shot. If he survives against Fury or Wilder, it makes him look even better.

Well you asked, then answered it yourself, then tried to talk yourself out of it. Nobody noticed the glaring hole in Gane's game because all of his opponents either didn't even attempt a TD, or tried 1 half ass attempt the entire fight, so we all just filled in the blanks generously and assumed he had at least serviceable grappling that he just didn't need. Then we found out how bad it was when he got wrestlefucked by the first guy who tried, who is also a weak wrestler/grappler.

Even if Jones' wrestling completely dropped off a cliff, he's still a better wrestler/grappler than Ngannou, who had no problem doing it to Gane, and Gane doesn't really have quick 1 punch KOs to end the fight before it's a factor.

lol... I'm a boxing fan first, and I'm telling you Jake is not that great a boxer, he will get caught and KTFO. You will not hear Ngannou's name come out of Jake's mouth.
I am a MMA fan first and hate seeing MMA fighters getting beat up in a different sport without the boxer having to also fight in MMA and make weight. If Nganno only fights boxing matches for 3 rounds he would have a chance but not 8-12 rounds. He Has too much muscle mass which is great in MMA when you can take down your opponent and lay and pray when you get tired.
