Better put Pavlovich vs Blaydes on the card too, in case Jones pulls out

That sucks since Francis/Jones was a big fight but think Francis didnt want to be there and wants to box and UFC wasnt gonna let that or pay him enough to give up the boxing.

Think it probably works out for both of them though, Francis will sign with like PFL to do some mma but also allows him to box and I guess he'll make the money he thinks he'll get. UFC on other hand gets Jones into a HW title fight which is big no matter who he is fighting. If this were Gane vs Blaydes it would be a different story since thats not gonna get anyone excited but having Jones ready to go takes sting out of losing Francis.

I wonder if One Championship is on the table, especially since they're starting US events this year.
I would see them as much more likely than PFL, especially with the recent Amazon deal. I think people are overreading into his mum wearing a PFL shirt.

Lmfao ngannou has become a total joke
The joke is you using that grade school grammar to try and degrade a man like Ngannou.

Anyway, he's not a joke, he's a self made, rags to riches, former UFC heavyweight champ with
the wind at his back and the world at his feet. And who continues to inspire an entire country.

How about you, big guy?

Foking hell
Cancel this foking fool already
Dana Trump killing the ufc
foking fokface

Francis is not a mega draw, and UFC not a mega payer. So will the UFC release him and allow him to box or even fight for another promotion? There is growing pressure on non compete agreements, MMA needs Ali act. Hope Francis cracks this wall.

It's sbit for us fans. There was lots of good match ups he could have had if they didn't short change him.

He's said they've tried to work on a deal with Francis for almost 2 years, but they couldn't make it work.

Says they offered Ngannou a deal which would have made him the highest paid HW in UFC history.

I think some of y'all are crazy throwing around 25, 20, 10 million dollar purse figures for Francis in boxing. I think he'd be fortunate if he got 20% of what Conor got to fight Mayweather.

Think about the stark contrast in abilities to promote a fight between Conor and Francis. It's night and day. Think about the absolute over-the-top traveling hype circus that was Mayweather-McGregor, and how it captured the attention of everyone and of the mainstream. That was with the UFC helping co-promote too, which won't be happening this time around. I'm not even sure they'll be able to mention him as UFC champ in the promotional material.

That's what you got to be able to bring to the table if you want to make that 20-30 million as a MMA guy going into a freakshow boxing event. I'll gladly eat crow on this one if I'm way off base, and welcome it being rubbed in my face. I hope he finds satisfaction in whatever it is he ends up doing though. I think it'd be great if he could find someone to go 1 and 1 with in boxing and then that new PFL superfight division. It's a shame Jake Paul isn't 3 inches taller and 45 lbs. heavier.

Absolutely untrue, stupid take. You think they negotiated with him and weren't willing to pay more than 3-4 million? Francis was most likely already making that much if not a bit more. I bet N'Gannou was offered around the 8-12million market when you consider PPV percentages on the back end and still turned it down because he knows he can go see what the PFL has to offer or pro boxing, if it doesn't work he can always come back to the UFC anyways.
he was getting paid 600k on his last contract. He mentioned UFC offered him 2 million for the new contract, so yea, its true. you just didn't check the facts.

Jon Jones contract pays him around 6-7 million, and he has been around as a champion for a long long time.
