Francis probably gets 20-25 mil to fight Fury, he'll obviously lose badly. He'll then probably get a couple of million from either Bellator or PFL to fight there, as having the lineal UFC heavyweight champ will raise either company's profile and credibility considerably. He'll be okay and be set for life financially.
He bet on himself fighting Gane while injured, and he won.
You're one of those people who listens to people talk and then say s "yeah but if you think' and says somethng they didnt even come remotely close to saying - arent you? There's a reason nobody likes to have conversations with you. Be self Aware and less retarded.
This is going to be an interesting change of pace in terms of styles for Gane.
This dude's whole career has been fighting the heaviest hitters at HW. Now he's going against a range-based technician who has little power.
Both Jones and Gane are great kickers but Ciryl definitely has the advantage with the hands, his jab is leagues better than Jones' and he showed against Tuivasa that he can throw very dangerous hooks in the pocket.
Jones will have to threaten the wrestling to even up the striking game.

Gane has been more active, he has also been working on his wrestling…is technical, and has power. I predict the end of the road for Jones, hopefully he makes some money..
Absolutely agree. Francis will get a huge payday like 15 million to lose to a guy like Fury, and then he can still go possibly fight one or two times in MMA for millions (OneFC, PFL,or Bellator) and retire before his 40th birthday. I remember an interview Francis did with Ariel Helwani after winning the title two years ago. He said he did not want to fight past the age of 40, and still had desires to finish his education and get his degree after fighting. He will make a lot more money Boxing, instead of being tied down with an UFC 8 fight contract.
We'll never know what really goes on in negotiations. I wouldn't discount everything Dana says even though it's easy to hate him. It is a bigger risk for Francis to just fight in the UFC because they can always can your ass after you lose a fight and aren't worth your record contract anymore. All we know is UFC wanted to be the ones to announce it, I doubt they even told Francis and I wouldn't assume he even knew it was coming.
What sucks is that there is nothing interesting for him outside the UFC from a pure fight fan perspective. No interest in seeing Tyson Fury fight, Fury has handled punches far harder and more technical. I assume if he takes that fight he will make substantially more than any mma fight and he can right off into the sunset after getting knocked the fuck out.

I’m not married and don’t have kids idiot. And it has nothing to do with being unhappy which you would know if you weren’t 14. 98% of the humans on earth would fucking kill for that kind of money.
Stop acting like millions of dollars per fight is some grave disservice and the dudes going to starve being so mistreated.
he’s become a whiny diva and it’s ruined his career. Like it or not being the UFC heavyweight champion carries weight and can lead to more opportunities outside of fighting. What’s he do now? Go get embarrassed in boxing once and forgotten about? He can’t box to save his life. Go the PFL nobody watches and fight some janitor nobody’s ever seen? lol doesn’t pay to be stupid and have a horrible team around you.
Dude will be poor begging for food in Africa again in a few years if he keeps up this genius plan. He got a taste and it went to his head.
Your the idiot here if you think being a UFC champion means anything. UFC fighters and champions are forgotten after 3 weeks ( according to Melvin Guillard) which is pretty accurate. Millions of dollar is pretty good...if it was the 2000s!
If you live in Cali, New York or Vancouver, you know that few million aint shit!
In my province, the cheapest smallest unit that looks like a broomstick closet in a crime ridden neighborhood cost 1,500 without the utility, internet and etc...
If you live in nice neighborhoods, the rent starts at around 11k to 35 k. Anything cheaper= living with roommates. Also rent keeps going up:
Also if your following the market, you know there is going to be another recession looming. Even though I am doing well financially, I am still very cautious about how I spend money and this goes back to UFC. Francis is bright, he can start a business or by going to PFL, he can create controversy if Tyson fight falls out. He knows you cant fight forever and so he is thinking long term and he is committing to action that allows him to stand out. Right now, you and I as well as many are talking about him. That is a good thing because there is a lively discussion that creates an interest. When was the last time UFC ACTUALLY promoted their shows with primetime production?
Even Conor never got a prime time episode because U Fight Cheap realized that its easier if fighters can self promote so they can save money. In that case, a fighter does not need the UFC anymore. I mean they dont promote anymore. If this was the 2000s, I would have agreed with you but now, its different, the world is different, social media changed things and the UFC model has changed and its not beneficial to fight in the UFC. Future fighters are fighters that start off on YouTube or Tik Tok and channel owners fight each other and these fights are more exciting than modern UFC fights because we will have an easier time knowing the story of each fighter. Right now the UFC is filled with cookie cutter fighters that dont stand out one bit with bland personality and fighting style.
The UFC is a joke organization and will be remembered as such for bending over backwards to meet the demands of lowlife trash like McChicken and Bones, but letting Francis go.
This is a sad day for UFC fighters and their future. If a champion with a great backstory can’t negotiate any freedom or flexibility, what are lesser fighters going to do?
Not ask for outrageous demands on there contract. It's very likely Francis wanted the Tyson Fury, but needed the UFC's help to promote it.. Tyson is with Top Rank and Top Rank's founder is Bob Arum, Dana doesn't like Bob Arum, so no chance in hell Dana was going to work with Bob Arum on this.
Also IIRC Dana in a previous interview said he would never do anything like Conor vs Floyd again, he didn't specify why though. I think Francis may have outpriced himself to be honest, him and Bones was clearly a massive fight for the sport.. all eyes would've been on him.
