Law Former President Donald Trump Indicted

In the US we don't target a man in search of a crime. At least we didn't. If we had every local, state, federal, and special prosecutor searching for crimes on the Clinton's and bidens they'd be in prison long ago.

You take a shot at a politician even if you hit, there are consequences.

Trumps been targeted for 6 years now and there have never been consequences.

this guy got on his knees for jesus, and obviously for his law degree too. he's been an attorney for some of the january 6th domestic terrorists. so obviously he's not a good lawyer either as he has never been able to get any of the insurrectionists exonerated

but i'm sure that his thoughts and prayers have been going out to those convicted clients of his as he hounds them to pay him his legal fees from prison. sure these people weren't able to find mike pence that day, but maybe they'll be able to find their lord and savior jesus christ and ask him for two scoops of Trump Lube and a promo code on a MyPillow.

this cultists cheese has seemed to have fallen off of his cracker. first of all, trump ain't jesus. jesus could turn water into wine, but trump couldn't even turn water into a successful business product. and jesus never cheated on his pregnant wife with a porn star either. and secondly, theyre not going to be crucifying trump on tuesday. crucifixion is not part of the death penalty, and even if it was, it would take 20 years just to execute him just because of all of the appeals it would have to go through. the government doesn't exactly deliver next day executions like it was Amazon Prime.

Yeah, one of the arguments I've heard against the death penalty in the USA is that it's actually cheaper to give someone Life Without Parole. It costs more in appeals by the guy's lawyers to finally execute him after a couple of decades on death row.

I believe that no one should be above the law. But it's pretty clear that there's a huge difference between what I want and the way it actually is.
Yes, it aggrieves me that having been president somehow makes him less deserving of being treated like any other criminal would, like this perhaps, https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...enforcement-dont-too-nice-suspects/522220001/ and that some how "white collar" crimes aren't as big a deal or some shit.

What was the dollar amount on the cheque George Floyd had when he was arrested? No one faced a criminal penalty for Trump U. or his fake charity and how many millions of dollars were involved there? And now this is all a witch hunt even though the prosecutor essentially tried to avoid bringing charges despite so much evidence he is guilty, thanks to Cohen, Weisselberg, et al. It's all pretty sickening to me.

Mehh. He will be "arrested". He will show up. Turn himself in. Make a big show of it. They'll book him as quickly and as respectfully as possible. He'll get an immediate arraignment hearing, be released, and be back in Florida before the day is out. We'll await a trial that'll never happen. His lawyers will hold it up in court for years and eventually reach a plea deal that won't involve any jail time. He’ll raise more money off of it than the fine he’ll actually pay.

At first I was excited until I learned that nobody is corroborating Trumps prediction not even his own team. And apparently this is still about the hush money he gave to that porn star.
It's not the only criminal investigation ongoing, however. I really don't know for sure, obviously, but I have some optimism that we will see Trump in prison in the not too distant future. At the moment it seems about as unlikely as Putin standing trial for war crimes, but there are still a million moving parts to this thing behind closed doors. We'll see but I'm not ready to give up the wishful thinking of seeing him being led to a prison cell on live TV.

Transgender rights , BLM, criticism of police brutality and lack of accountability, and so called 'wokeness' predate 2016.

It's rather telling that you and the right were full of umbrage when BLM was asking for police accountability, but as soon as MAGA stormed the capital, suddenly you guys didn't feel the urge to support the Capital Police. Same with some BLM blocking roads, which you guys were all up in arms about, but you didn't exhibit even remotely the same umbrage when Canadian truckers blocked one of the US-Canadian border entry points.

Trump deserves to be charged, mostly for trying to engineer a coup and overthrow a demoractically elected leader. The Dems have never done anything remotely damaging to the US. And when I say "engineer a coup" I am not talking about Jan 6th, but about the schemes , coerscion and attempts to throw out Biden votes.

Trump is most 3rd worldesque president we have had in recent memory, for his attempts to remian in power and overthrow the will of the people. But you guys defend him and defend people like Tucker who propagted the big lie, because you guys are tribal.
FTR they blocked two border crossings, but the one in BC was cleared in fairly short order, somewhat before or after (I can't recall for sure) a bunch of guys were arrested with a trunk load of weapons. But yeah, it was cheered on by these people.

We should stop arresting criminals to appease chuddos. Good point.

I mean . . . that's what happens some times . . . we either let them out on bail or let violent felons plea down charges only to have them commit another similar violent crime and then wonder why/how that happened.

Why is it always the Canadians like @idrankyourbeer and @HOLA that can’t stop talking about Trump?

Love him or hate him it just seems like the Canadians won’t shut the fuck up about him lol.

Trump Derangement Syndrome transcends borders.

He's a former president, even if he's convicted he's going to get a suspended sentence. And somehow if he doesn't, he's getting pardoned.

Hochul is DNC through and through. Why would she pardon Trump before the election?

fine for a felony?
i'm not a lawyer so i legit don't know how it works, but a felony seems like the type of thing you can't pay yourself out of? of course i am not certain of this.
who's a lawyer here that may offer some insight? @panamaican ?
In general the difference between a felony and misdemeanor is a day in jail. Misdemeanor the max punishment is up to a year in jail. Felony the punishment can be more than a year in jail.

This is a big mistake for Soros because Trump just won 2024.
He is going to pull in a ton of women voters. They will admire how Alpha he is by banging and paying a porn star while his wife was home taking care of their newborn. Trump knows it’s tough raising a newborn but that is woman’s work but men need sex, so he did his wife a solid like the Bible says.
Women voters will appreciate he paid Stormy so his wife would not know, which is what any Christian man should do. I bet Trump gets 80% of the women vote and the other 20% that vote for Sleepy Joe are softball players if you catch my drift.

Once again you dumb liberals will be disappointed. How many times are you gonna try and take Trump down? It's hilarious!

It is quite telling that there is nobody even hinting that Trump could be innocent of the crimes he is accused of, only that the justice system is so politicised that attempts to hold him accountable will fail.

The democrats have sealed their fate.
