i cant help but to question if brandon thinks a little too highly of himself, and believes that he's the only one capable of beating trump in an election, he's trump's kryptonite, and therefore he must run against him just to fight the forces of evil

i don't think that he's clued in that over 81 million people voted in favor of this senile old bag of bones, not because they like the guy and were voting for him, but there are somewhere around 81 million registered voters who don't like trump and were simply just voting against him. when it gets to that point, it probably doesnt matter who the democrats put up to run for president, just as long as they are running against trump.

if hunter's laptop were to run against trump, hunter's laptop would become the next president. thats how bad its gotten when out of a nation of 330 million people, you take a handful of the most corrupt idiots you can find, and then you get them to run for president. you piss enough people off and sooner or later and it no longer becomes an issue of just how many votes you can get, but how many votes you can get against you.

heaven forbid that brandon makes another run. but sadly i expect nothing more than a rematch and a repeat of 2024. this is all a wash. there is absolutely nothing that has gone on that is going to change the minds of those 81 million people who voted against trump the first time just to get him out. these people are not going to have a change of heart and vote for trump. if they see the name trump on the ballots, theyll be the all the more inspired just to kick this guy to the curb some more. Mehh. He will be "arrested". He will show up. Turn himself in. Make a big show of it. They'll book him as quickly and as respectfully as possible. He'll get an immediate arraignment hearing, be released, and be back in Florida before the day is out. We'll await a trial that'll never happen. His lawyers will hold it up in court for years and eventually reach a plea deal that won't involve any jail time. He’ll raise more money off of it than the fine he’ll actually pay.

At first I was excited until I learned that nobody is corroborating Trumps prediction not even his own team. And apparently this is still about the hush money he gave to that porn star.

I think by this point we can all agree that Trumpism and MAGA have been very bad for the country. Was it a huge win for Republicans that Trump won in 2016 and secured three seats on the Supreme Court and if they had the opportunity to go back in time and vote the same way would they? Absolutely yes, the Supreme Court conservative super majority is pretty much the ball game, unless Democrats sack up and stack the court the next time they get the opportunity, which of course they won't.

The GOP is eating themselves and some pretty batshit politicians have been elevated to some pretty important positions. There's a literal 9/11 denier on record saying no planes hit the towers now sitting on Homeland Security oversight. McCarthy gave up ridiculous concessions to absolute lunatics to secure his position. McConnell, the most effective conservative of my lifetime, had it right when he said candidate quality sank them in the recent midterms.

Everyone should want Trump gone, especially conservatives. HIs value to conservatives has expired and they already have the wins they needed from him.

I think he provides a candidate who is easiest for Democrats to beat in 2024 and maybe he's so bad they can beat Republicans across the ticket, winning big enough majorities that they can effectively repair some of the damage he did, but only a fool believes Democrats would actually do that. They have had that opportunity but at the end of the day they're still politicians.
