Forgotten Upsets you remember

Does anyone have a copy of the Danny Lafever vs Benji Radach video?

Apparently Benji paid to have it erased from the internet lol

I remember watching it online in the past but it doesn't seem to be anywhere now

I've never seen it, but I would love to. I search for it every now and then. Closest I ever could find was a picture.

Sonnen beating Dan Miller, Nate Marquardt, and Yushin Okami all in a row were all upsets when they happened and I made a bundle of money on all 3.

I had to do some serious soul searching when Griffin tapped Shogun.

Speaking of Hominick, I was surpirsed when he submitted Yves Edwards back in 2005 or 06 (earlier UFC's).

2006 was right around when I started watching MMA, and it feels so long ago that I was like "Mark Hominick in the UFC in 2006? No fucking way". So I looked it up, and you were right! And then I realize that his fights with Aldo and KZ were in fucking 2012 and he retired after two more losses. That made me feel old.

I've never seen it, but I would love to. I search for it every now and then. Closest I ever could find was a picture.

It was a one-punch, if I remember correctly. I've seen the video and lmao at Benji paying a PR firm (I imagine) to scrub it from the internet.

Aurelio vs Gomi.

Gomi was still sitting on top of the LW division only to get subbed by this guy.

Warlley Alves - Brian Barbarena. The popular impression at the time was that this matchup had been made to punish Barbarena for beating Dana's little wunderkind Sage Northcutt. The ultimate dad bod set against an undefeated muscleman who was supposed to be Brazil's Next Big Thing....in Brazil. But Brian's pure grit overcame Warlley's -600 odds.

Travis Browne was a 1.45 favorite going into his fight against Werdum in 2014. In retrospect it's ridiculously that he was the betting favorite.
Also, a very enjoyable fight to watch with Werdum doing a lot of taunting and trolling while kicking his ass.

Fedor vs Herring, Fedor vs Big Nog and Shogun vs Liddell.

what’s the behind the scenes?

Story was supposed to be fighting Marquardt. Brenneman was also set to fight on that same card, but had inside info that Nate might not be able to make the fight a couple of months in advance. Brenneman spent that time training for his opponent and training to fight specifically Rick Story.
Nate pulled out at the last minute and Brenneman offers to swap opponents to save the card. Story has been training for Nate but agrees to the change as Brenneman as he sees him as no threat and far below his level. Having put in a camp to fight Story, Brenneman came out and nullified everything Story tried and made him look bad in what was supposed to be Story's fight to make him a name in the UFC as a contender. Instead, Story's UFC career was irreparably damaged as was his confidence. Brenneman conned Story and the UFC better than I think anyone has ever done.
