Media For those that doubt Conor was in a HORRIBLE state against Khabib

Any sane person knows this already. There's a very small but very loud minority of mentally ill sherdog trolls who would tell you otherwise.

The rest of the world will agree with you, but most of them don't waste their time arguing with trolls on a troll forum.

They were saying the same things they are saying now back at UFC 229 (best camp of his life, best shape etc...). It's just that now he won so it's validated. There is no logic in it. Fact of the matter is Conor > Cerrone, but all the training/mentality aspect stays in the unknown.

Don't forget, Conor is a mainstream superstar, which means it's more about the narrative and the story he tells, than about actual sports performance.
It is like with the Nate fight, the narrative is he lost, came back and won, and that's what he's rightfully pushing. But the actual judgement we have to make, is they are 1-1, Nate choked him out, and Conor barely edged a majority decision in which he denied everything he stands for by running away (sometimes literally) from Nate.

Just enjoy the fact that he's back and that we have a few great possible fights on our end, as long as the sports legitimacy isn't thrown away.

Yup, that was UFC plan from the start.
Yes but seriously that doesnt seem like a good idea. Youd think they'd want conor to get some seasoning before hes ready for khabib. Conor is saying he wants to fight 3 times this yr. No way khabib is up next. But dana has been sayin its next. Hm.

Focused and motivated Conor won a majority decision against Nate Diaz

He will never beat khabib

Tony robbins: ok conor today I want you to say his name.

Conor: kha.. kha...fook it Tony Robbins I cant do it!!

Pay attention to the very first time he starts talking here
This was a lame an stupid reasoning when BJ Penn used it back in the day to justify his losses (Or draws), and is lame an stupid today.

Rico Rodriguez is the HW GOAT. He would dominate de HW division in the oughties if he could handle being an UFC champ, and could overcome the disapointment of being robbed the PRIDE belt aganist Minotauro. So he IS de HW GOAT. See the faulty logic here?.

BTW he would be mauled by Khabib anyways.

To be fair, this thread makes you also sound drunk and halfway insane. Why is it a good excuse for Conor to "not be the right mental state", but not for any of the guys he's beaten where his entire gameplan is to get them so pissed they make mistakes?

I'm sure every fighter would like to take a mulligan on their losses, but for some reason Conor is the only one who gets them for both guys that beat him, and never gives rematches for any of his wins. Let him fight Poirier again to climb the rankings a little bit.

.

And he successfully pissed off Khabib too, though it didn't work out to well at all.

Conor may have had a bad camp but Khabib was in the shape of his life.

Honestly I find making mistakes inside the ring easier to excuse than outside.
You turned into such an egotistical prick that you didnt train properly for a guy you believe bullied your friend? and for a title? Tough shit. No one to blame but yourselve.
Thankfully Khabib was taking it serious and not taking the piss of the millions that travel/pay etc for that fight after already fleecing them in that boxing exhibition.

First of all, why do we say that Conor did better than anybody against Khabib? From what I recall, several guys have gone the distance with Khabib. Conor was finished. Laquinta lost 50-45, but he even cracked Khabib with his fair share of shots down the stretch. Barboza went the distance. Poirier tapped like Conor, but he even rocked and wobbled Khabib on the feet. Michael Johnson briefly stunned him. Conor was dropped on the feet and pounded on the ground before tapping. He supposedly barely won the 3rd, a round in which he inflicted no damage and Khabib was coasting and even slapping Conor. Khabib was never remotely in any type of trouble or discomfort. That fight was very one sided.

Second of all, stop writing a novel of excuses for Conor. Conor fans don’t want to hear that Mendes or Diaz were on short notice or that he gets fed title shots without beating contenders, but we get an infinite list of excuses as to why got dominated by Khabib or was finished by Nate. Just give it a rest.

Eddie Alvarez and Aldo weren't in right state of mind either. Those fights basically dont Count

Pay attention to the very first time he starts talking here: he references being up to his eyeballs in probation and civil cases, as well as his anger and disappointment at the UFC not willing to give up any ownership.

He sounds disturbingly stressed, drunk, and halfway insane. He has never before and likely never again will be at a lowpoint like this in his MMA career.

And he still did better against Khabib than any opponent since Tibau. Let that sink in, and if you are a hater, brace yourself for the rematch.

True champions are consistent mentally. This is one of the reasons Conor is not that great. Good find TS!!
