I mean everyone knows what it is; they can't give Tom credit because that's way too close to acknowledging why Jon was scared of him.
I like how we're pretending like Stipe doesn't have another KO loss directly after an eye poke to Struve of all people. It's almost like being able to see strikes coming and properly react to them really affect his chin or something.
People simply want to give DC a pass as he *probably could've* been good enough to beat Stipe without it. That doesn't mean it didn't obviously impact his win however. Of course it did.
The difference between these things is that Stipe actually couldn't see meanwhile the doctors cleared Tom as fine.Wanna see a fun 180 when one of the most vocal Jones huggers was trying to pump up 64 year old Stipe as a legit defense for Jones?
Hasbulla outwrestles and subs Gane.
Tom shouldn't fight anybody but a unification bout unless they strip Jones, and even if they did, who the eff wants to see Gane get 3 losing title shots in 5 fights?
Lol, yeah, getting wrestlefucked by a striker and dropped by Tai Tuivasa in the year before Jones handpicked him to immediately take down was real scary.
Gane is a good point striker who doesn't have 1 punch KO power or any grappling skill who Jones picked after his grappling got exposed. Tom's a BJJ black belt who's bigger, faster and has been KOing half the top 5 in like a minute.
Lol at being shameless enough to claim the interim champ Jones is scared of who's cleared out the top 5 hasn't "earned it", but the 90 year old man he dug up with 0 wins over any active fighter did earn it. Sad.
Tom's beaten #2,3,4,7 and 8. Jon had 1 win over a favorable stylistic matchup and pulled a an old man out of several years of retirement. It's not the favorable stylistic matchup that it was for Jon, but Tom likely wins pretty easily anyway.
Only way Tom comes out looking worse is if Gane submits him or out grapples him. If they strike most of the time and Tom outstrikes him, then he looks even better for beating Gane at his own game while Jon wanted no part of it and immediately went for the TD in the first minute.
Yikes, THAT was the best you could find to save face after getting caught doing a complete 180 based what you think makes Jones look better? An obvious joke about Hasbulla submitting Gane, and 3 perfectly accurate posts? The difference between these things is that Stipe actually couldn't see meanwhile the doctors cleared Tom as fine.
Stipe also wasn't losing prior to them and needed a NC to avoid a loss and/or his belt like Tom did.
It also wasn't after years of shit talk about being so much better than everybody.
Hope this helps.
Anyways, here's @nostradumbass actually making really bad predictions about Gane/Tom:
Well yeah, of course Gane's a really good striker, his grapling is just a massive hole that Jones took advantage of, and even Ngannou was able to get a come from behind win by taking him down and laying on him. England isn't exactly a wrestling hotbed, so we'll have to see if Tom can get him down easily too. If not, the striking will probably be very competitive and Gane might even have a small advantage.
Imagine saying Tom would easily beat Gane and then getting that complete wrong.Yikes, THAT was the best you could find to save face after getting caught doing a complete 180 based what you think makes Jones look better? An obvious joke about Hasbulla submitting Gane, and 3 perfectly accurate posts?
Gane did shit the bed in yet another title, Tom absolutely should not have taken yet another interim title defense, Gane is not the favorable matchup for Tom that he was for Jon, as Tom is not the favorable matchup for Jones that Gane was, and obviously Gane did outgrapple or submit Tom.
And I'll add to it, this was my post in a prediction thread abour a week ago, also perfectly accurate.
Fux Yeah!I like how these Jones fans that have been gloating about the situation the most entertaining, as if it’s somehow a moral victory for them while their boy was so scared of fighting him he just decided to retire.
It’s been really interesting to see the sheer amount of dorito munching fucking retards coming out of the woodwork over the past couple days.
Ah shit, he didn't get KO'd in 30 seconds before fouling out of the fight. That's definitely more embarrassing than doing a complete 180 from blaming everybody else's losses on eye pokes to thrn blaming the person who got eye poked. LolImagine saying Tom would easily beat Gane and then getting that complete wrong.
You're right. You are nostradumbass.
Tom didn't lose though because he didn't even try to continue fighting.Ah shit, he didn't get KO'd in 30 seconds before fouling out of the fight. "Involuntarily told to continue", huh? You think he shouldn't have?Tom didn't lose though because he didn't even try to continue fighting.
Which is particularly hilarious to try and compare this to Stipe who did point out his eye poke and was involuntarily told to continue fighting instead of getting any break at all.
Aspinall (probably): If you don't have the facts just lie and make them up

Except you people leave out the part that he was trying to fight Jones, who was the one HOLDING EVERYTHING UP. Not his fault that he was trying to go for the GOAT fight and it never happened.you skipped the part where he sat out for 18 months
Sherdog has a way of making outright lies appear true. Lie number one you either read someone else say in jest and parroted or believe in stupidity it is true, is that Tom was the number one contender when Jones signed to fight Stipe. It just took forever to make but that situation didn’t happen at all as you claim. Tom BECAME top contender as Jones was booked to fight Stipe. Shit on a man in honesty none of this lie on a man bitch shit. Distorting mma history is shameful no matter how bad you have hate in your heartHe didn't sit out. He was iced out. What is he supposed to do when he holds the interim belt, defends it while the "Undisputed" guy refuses to unify while waiting a year to fight a retired 3 year on the shelf fire fighter and then still refuses to accept a fight to Unify but doesn't vacate? Tom was booked against Gane as soon as Jon was officially stripped...er I mean retired like he was always going to do.
Stop acting like Tom held up the HW division, that was 100% on Jon and the UFC. BTW guys who have lost a razor close first round have actually come back to win fights.
People on here try to act like they're tougher than professional fighters, so they look for any reasons to talk shit and say so-and-so isn't a good fighter. And they hate that he has a good relationship with his Dad, because most dudes have massive daddy issues.Seems like 90% of threads are about how boring x fighter is. Guys that just lay 'n pray their way to victory, or even strikers like Strickland are labeled boring because he doesn't finish his opponents.
And yet here we have Tom Aspinall, who has finished every single person he's faced since joining the UFC, and yet he hasn't earned enough goodwill to get a pass after an eye poke?
What does a fighter have to do to earn just a little bit of grace?

With great hype comes waves of hate, that is how it goes.
you skipped the part where he sat out for 18 months
then got his nose bloodied
then quit without using the full 5 minutes
but sure man he's exciting when he's in the cage
we all love some fighters like tom and carwin throws all power punches in round 1Seems like 90% of threads are about how boring x fighter is. Guys that just lay 'n pray their way to victory, or even strikers like Strickland are labeled boring because he doesn't finish his opponents.

It looks so bad. A 32 year old world champion has his dad stepping in like he’s talking to the principal about his son getting bullied while he’s at the nurse’s office icing his eye that isn’t even scratched. It’s almost an unbelievably bad look for Tom, but it’s fucking hilarious. World heavyweight champion my ass.How hard is it for Tom to be out here demanding a rematch ASAP? Every doctor has cleared him. What's the hold up, another 4-5 YouTube videos from his dad before he's ready to ask to fight again?
Guy went from saying he'd fight Jones whenever nd holding up his rubber ducky to being cricket silent about fighting Gane after witnessing he's not the better striker, can't take him down, and can't outlast him.
Tom's apparently thankfully not hurt, so where is he
I’ll say it like i have been saying for a few months now, Tom Aspinall is good fighter and is for sure appreciated, the problem is his fan base grew exponentially over the past 6months or so because of the whole Jones ducking fiasco, that he advocated rightfully so as he wanted the bout, but some of the “fans” were not fans of him as fighter but because of how he was going about with Jones, hence when you’re only seeing a good handful of his fans defending him, some of the most obnoxious loud fans of his who were calling everyone haters for even a simple critique of Aspinall, all but went radio silent the past few days, ive gotten called a Jones nuthugger and Aspinall hater for pointing that very fact that some fans gravitate towards Aspinall, only reason because they hate Jones and Aspinall was their next avatar for it, it happened with Ngannou, Gane & now Aspinall.Seems like 90% of threads are about how boring x fighter is. Guys that just lay 'n pray their way to victory, or even strikers like Strickland are labeled boring because he doesn't finish his opponents.
