Floyd Mayweather TBE?

When people entertain hypotheticals they match them prime vs prime. Don't they? It's no different here. At Roy's best he got hit even less than Floyd did at his best. This isn't complicated.
I know. Anybody with eyes and a brain knows who is the better defensive boxer.

Guessing you were a tot or not even born during their primes?

I'm not far away from 50 so lol at this shit.
Not sure what you were watching bro.

Not sure if youre aware but Roy doesnt crack many Top 10 lists….let alone compared to Floyd.

You sounds like a hater rather than an objective observer. I cant stand Floyd, but he is owed this due.

A hater for pointing out what every boxing reg on here already knows? Okay. Go actually watch a prime RJJ then come back. Oh, and learn how CompuBox is actually operated while you're at it. It's just a couple dudes pressing a button when they think a shot landed. Jabbr AI (DeepStrike) and punch count videos are a lot more accurate.

I watched both of their careers as they happened you clown.

Its not even close.

Your can ass hyping Roy Jones Jr (lol) when he literally cracks NO top 10 lists…..gimme a fucking break guy.

Lol, punch counts are good enough for Einstein in real time fight scoring but theyre wrong and unusable afterwards.

You’re a fairweather with a 62 IQ.

Roy Jones Jr is a better defensive boxer than Floyd Mayweather. Now Ive heard it all.

<lmao>

You’ve thoroughly embarrassed yourself
Why haven't you left yet? Take that weak ass Robbie Lawler AV and get the hell out of the boxing forum. Thanks.
you made a fool of yourself and are upset about it.

We understand. Thanks for playing. You should probably get your eyes checked too Teddy.

You're an MMA fan. Go watch the UFC and leave the real boxing talk to the hardcores. Those of us that actually grew up watching the sweet science.

I told you that Ive been watching boxing for longer than MMA.

Now you just sound like a complete can. 50 year old man calling himself a “hardcore” boxing fan whilst simultaneously claiming Roy Jones Jr. is a better defensive boxer than Floyd Mayweather Jr.

You’re a mess. Take a nap.

No, I said Roy got hit less at his best. That's true. It isn't my fault you had a meltdown trying to process this newfound data. Everybody else in this forum is already aware. Floyd in his prime had great reflexes and reaction time but Roy was basically superhuman in that regard. You referenced the stats to glaze Floyd's defensive prowess while not even realizing that his Plus/Minus rating is what truly set him apart from his peers. Guess what? Defense only constitutes half of that metric Mr. Statistician.

Woke up from nap still salty and stupid. Keep looking like a fool, lol

You fired from the hip and are now treading water and writing novels.

Just admit you said something stupid and move on dumbass.

I like Roy Jones' opinion on Floyd, he won't even place him or speak about him just based on Floyd's disrespect of Ali, won't even talk about him. That's not a bad way to handle Floyd, and no, he isn't as good as Roy. Despite the weight difference, Roy was still fasters and had true killer kayo power, had maybe one competitive fight in his 20's, who else can really say that?

Floyd did have a couple traits that were really praiseworthy, 1. he trained and came in shape each and every time. 2. He had a solid chin, seen him take some shots, and that's one thing but he knew how to handle being hurt too. I only saw him hurt a couple times, Chop Chop Corley looked to have him on the verge of a stoppage but didn't seem to notice it and Shane Mosley put him down to his haunches with a big right, after which Floyd immediately clutched Shane's right hand and held on for dear life, that's an amazing thing for a guy who really had so little experience being hurt in a real fight to pull off.

But no, he's not the greatest and part of that is based on his not having the comp to give that title to him and also, I really don't want to engage in a huge brouhaha over that question again other than to say it irritates me that a guy like him has his name thrown up in that category so often. He's immature, he's insecure, he only ever talks about money as a defense for any question whether it's an attack or not, which is just tasteless but that's who he is. Without the Delahoya win, he would have never gotten the legs to do what he did. Maybe that would have been good, he'd have been forced to fight more names and maybe Pac in 2010 or so, which I always say he'd have lost.

I think Robinson deserves the top title personally with Henry Armstrong coming in second.
Robinson will have that designation, probably for as long as the sport exists or unless guys have careers like that again. It's ridiculous the way those guys fought back then. Every other week sometimes and they weren't obsessed with having an off night and losing to a third rater.
