Conor stole this from Roy Jones Jr.

I hate when guys want to try the Original Roy Jones shit but are always WAY out of range to get hit...never in danger, fuckin pretenders, its insulting for them to even act like they're on that level. You're not humiliating no one

But Roy on the other hand.......was right there in front of the guy, and then not there.
Stop doin that shit unless you're going to DO THAT SHIT!

Guys I'm sorry if I'm coming off as a troll but just admit Conor did better than you thought. Can't wait till the rematch.
OK I'm gonna explain this in detail so hopefully you get a better idea of the sentiment here...
Truth is....Nah actually we believe Conor did about as well as we expected. When the statement "Floyd carried the fight" is said, it's really not an insult to Conor, it's just the truth, he could've stepped on the gas and gotten him out much earlier if he wanted to because t's boxing and he's a master of hitting precisely and not getting hit (if he wants to be sharp and take it seriously). Bottom line anyone that knows boxing can tell he didn't take it seriously. Floyd has beat the breaks off of guys that would destroy Conor. He's embarrassed guys that would KO Conor, Floyd has beaten world champions boxers for the last 20 years and in 28 straight championship fights. Even Andre Berto would knock Conor the fuck out.

Again no slight on Cnor and his fighting prowess, but this is boxing, and Floyd made the fight go as long as he wanted it to, because there was no danger to him in it. Conor got in a few licks, but so what, it's boxing everyone gets a punch or two in, and Floyd ate them like pancakes.

Everyone here knew he could throw a punch and knew how to deliver a blow. He KOs people on the regular in MMA. A fight is a fight and any professional is dangerous and has something...He's a decent athlete can move etc etc. No one is discounting his performance, he did the best he could, which was not that bad. I for one, was just a little disappointed that Floyd didn't come out blazing and do an "Arturo Gatti" on Conor.

Because in spite of what Conor brought to the table he was WAY out of his league and it very well could've happened like that. Gatti at 140 would've slept Conor in 4 rounds, straight make him quit on the stool....ODLH at 147-154 would've slept Conor in 2, so would Cotto, Mosley, Pacquaio, and even Hatton.... Canelo might've put Conor in a coma in the 1st round. That's how far the levels are in boxing. And Floyd beat all of them....Point is, those guys were killers and not about the disrespect of an MMA guy coming into their world, they would've come out to destroy Conor immediately and they probably would've.

Floyd on the other hand, was about "the business"...different mind set. Have a little fun let the crowd enjoy the spectacle, see what Conor really has in the ring, get his timing down, see if he has power to respect, take him past the 6 or 7th, then walk him down and get him outta there. Remeber the 7th is when Conor started to get lit up by Floyd...
Difference is, all the other guys I mentioned would be willing to go to war to get him out of there as fast as possible. With much superior defensive skills inside than Conor superior counter-punching ability and a real understanding of body work, I see it being an ugly stoppage with all those guys. Floyd was just chill about it all.

EDIT: Shit I would've loved to see Ricardo Mayorga box Conor!

Doesnt matter YOU still spelled it wrong in English...lol
It does.
You will learn, when you step into the real world kiddo that it does.
For now keep thinking you know it all until your balls drop, it’s ok it’s what you’re supposed to think and say at your age.

You make excuses for a loss. They bring up the context.

What excuses do Conor fans use? None. Now lets see floyds excuse.

Wasn't trying.
Didn't Train.
Carried Conor.

!

Nice excuse fest full of woulda coulda, shoulda. Pathetic. End of the day he knew Conor was dangerous and unknown so he waited until he gassed, which is what he actually said right after the fight. That's a credit to Conor's ability not because Floyd was not trying, it was a fight tactic. Hilarious watching you fanboys make up excuses and fail to give Conor any credit for doing far better than the lines of Marquez who literally hit air all fight. That pull counter uppercut alone was a thing of beauty, and from a guy in his first pro boxing fight.

All the more reason Floyd could toy with him but didnt.
That counter was nothing hard at all (from Floyd's standpoint), the kid just didn't take it well. Conor got hit with the same punch plenty of times and kept going. Again a 30lb weight discrepancy is huge and from a world class puncher.

Floyd won.

McGregor fans pretend he did great, never trained boxing seriously, didn’t have that much of a size advantage, fought a hardly past his prime Floyd, was stopped early, etc.

You have a problem with reading comprehension... Conor did great, for a guy fighting his first Boxing match against a world class champion. He exceeded all expectations, lasted much longer than most of us expected, but we understand why..... He didn't fight a world class champion that was in "Full Camp Shape" and motivated to destroy him like most fighters are. Not an excuse, nobody is complaining about it, just the truth. If you're still gonna get triggered by that fact, so be it.

btw: Marquez would sleep Conor too....

He'd walk Paul Williams down because of PW's reach advantage. PWill wasn't a very good inside fighter and even less of a defensive guy. Floyd Would've taken all his strengths away and outboxed him from the inside. Same shit he did with Conor, stayed right in front of him.
I don’t know what your definition of “walk down” is, but when has Mayweather walked anybody down? After they were hurt? He’s a defensive, counter punching fighter and only fought that way with Conor for the fans, and it wasn’t because of afraid of Conor’s whopping 2 inch reach advantage or overhyped power. It would make zero sense for him to do the same thing to a prime Williams. He would have stayed in his defensive shell and pot shotted him until Williams stopped throwing like everybody else he faced. He could nullify Williams reach by holding in between shots. 49 times out of 49 he’s a defensive fighter against boxers and he’d switch this up for a brawler in Paul Williams? I don’t think so.

Completely miss the point.

Have you seen the Shane fight? Walked him down the whole fight, even directly after getting hurt.

I’ve seen the fight, and I’m now 6 rounds into rewatching the fight. Nobody is getting walked down. You need to state your definition of “walking down.” Floyd is fighting his same fight. They’re basically standing in the center toe to toe with Floyd being against the ropes occasionally. Floyd is using defense to bait Moseley into throwing, and when he doesn’t throw and gets caught looking, Floyd leaps in and catches him with shots. This is not “walking down.” Walking down implies you’re pursuing your opponent and applying copious amounts of pressure, cutting him off and creating angles etc. That is so NOT what is happening in this fight. 75% of it is in the center of the ring with Mayweather in his shell waiting on Moseley. I’m going to finish the other 6 rounds later and post again if it changes. I would invite you to rewatch the fight as you May he remembering it wrong, happens to the best of us. Floyd is retreating more than Moseley so far.

Ariel Helwani was waiting inside his club for like 6 hours to get an interview with Floyd, I believe the was fight week or 2 weeks out from the fight.

I wish he took it more seriously so we could see him absolutely demolish Conor.
Conor was training kickboxing and bjj. Ma

congratulations
this is the dumbest fucking thing I've read today.

Don't breed.
Google Conor matrix gifs plural vs Floyd.

He didn’t walk him down. He got more offensive as the fight went on but he didn’t walk Moseley down. He stood in front of him in punching range virtually the whole fight like he did with manny. That’s what Floyd does. Stands in front of you, pot shots you if you stand there and stare at him. If you throw shots he either moves just out of range and then counters or he shoulder rolls or evades and then counters. And Moseley did exactly what every other fighter, except maidana, did...he tasted a bunch of those “pillow fisted” counters and wanted nothing to do with them so he shut down his offense and got alligator arms. Go rewatch that fight.
