what a war! toe to toe, blow for blow. lookin to me like segawa getting the better of the action. one more round to go.

from what i saw, segawa won the fight. stood in there, traded with palacios. busted up palacios' face.

but i expect the judges to give the fight to palacios. it being his hometown and everything.

compubox shows the fight as being pretty even. but the judges call it for the mexican by split decision!...are we even surprised??

the crowd is disappointed by the decision. most thought segawa won. oh well, the robberies continue everytime there's anything resembling a close fight.

the probox judges called the fight a draw. the official judges called it 96-94 segawa, 99-91 placios and 97-93 palacios.

flores vs castillo the main event!!!

first round for castillo 1-0. the dominican is a lefty. tall and rangy. hard style to beat. flores more slow footed and scrappy.

hot second round! both guys going at it. flores pressing forward. castillo circling and countering. i got it 1-1 after two rds.

castillo continuing to peck away with the jab. flores exploding sporadically with one or two punches. 2-1 castillo.

flores putting a ton of pressure in rd 4...hammering away at the ribs of castillo. castillo going toe to toe. but flores just more physical. 2-2.

Flores takes the lead. just sheer aggression! 3-2 flores.

flores continues to apply all kinds of pressure. castill fighting back but not able to keep up. 4-2 flores

i call rd 7 for castillo. close rd but he seemed to land the cleaner, more effective punches. flores might be tiring. 4-3 flores.

5-3 flores. he's outworking castillo now. just pushing for the finish line.

6-3 flores. castillo has been very disappointing the last few rds. doesn't seem like he's in good shape mentally or physically.

flores wins on my card 7-3. castillo just seemed out of it by rd 7. didn't do much.

flores wins majority decision. 95-95, 96-94, 98-92. castillo basically gave the fight away in the last two rounds where he did nothing.

flores fights kinda like william zepeda. perpetual motion. i would love to see a flores-zepeda fight. or flores vs a guy like flohyd schofield.
