What is a policy that can enforce "mostly good families" tho?

What is a policy that can enforce "mostly good families" tho? This is a forum about government and politics, and any change like that has to come from the actual community. No amount of legislation can cause a positive change there imo.
It's a meta point. My belief is that too many people frame too many issues (e.g., helping the "black community") as policy matters. It's the same reason Warren and Yang's "I have a plan for everything" approach should be a turn off.

......and the real world, non-rosy glasses result is that a couple more racists will be born. Now I’m sure when Walgreens locks up their shit, it will be indeed called ‘racist’. This and the Disney video aren’t helping race relations/perceptions hahaha

Leftists, race hustlers, perpetuating this notion of zero accountability and blaming everyone else for your failures...

this is what is responsible.

Congrats Leftists...this is the America you wanted

it's interesting..

the Walgreens near my home in south seattle...

they lock up all of their black hair product stuff in a special case, where you have to press a button and request a customer service employee to unlock it for you. not kidding.

is this racist?

Tax cuts for the rich imo. Maybe add on some vague references to family values.

What reasonable measures could people take to prevent future groups of children from wanting to do this in the future?

The Fred Meyers my buddy worked at in Shoerline did the same thing and had like 4 cops show up at closing time for security.

Is the point of these flash mob thefts the idea "if there's X many of us loss prevention can't stop us all"?

Yes. There's both strength and safety in numbers. Nobody is going to be prosecuted for any of this. They might make some arrests but they'll walk.

Granted I've never been desperate enough financially to need to steal but I still can't quite understand stealing shit like hair care products, gatorade, and really cheap shit that Walgreens or CVS has.

You go into a grocery store and try to lift out some chicken, steak, and food I can totally get that.

that's precisely the strategy.

I'm ambivalent about this comment.

On the one hand, it's sensible.

On the other, well, the Democrat's own endless racism-by-correlation logic & rhetoric might suffice. So far nearly every flash mob theft I've seen like this over the years, dating back to the Apple store grabs, has involved almost exclusively black people. Blacks vote Democrat by a ratio of ~90%, don't they? I'm sure there's some remarkably stupid insight buried in this correlation that a Democrat would find sublime.

It would seem if it's kosher to call voter suppression that doesn't actually directly target people by skin color "racist" by correlation of those who it has practically effected, then it needs to be fair ball to look at these trends, and ask, "Why?" Sometimes there are matters of policy at stake. Sometimes there are matters of culture. I'm reminded of those who insist it's racist for merchants to more aggressively maintain vigilance against blacks, and yet when the rates of shoplifting per capita are presented confirming how much more likely merchants are to face "shrinkage" from blacks, this will be ignored by many who previously insisted the merchants were being racist.

However, before we get to the why, it's important to first establish an ethnic correlation to this phenomenon. This is anecdotal. Statistics would be interesting.
Sooo...the perpetrators are black, therefore Democrats *probably* endorse this kind of behavior?

EDIT: I'm not saying this is your position, but rather the TS's internal logic

EDIT 2: Looks like this got merged with another thread

Would this have happened if the minors in the video had come mostly from good families?

If they are from New Jersey you can get away with rape if you come from a good family. Even if that rape was filmed and you yourself distributed it over the internet for weeks.

https://www.foxnews.com/us/new-jers...pe-as-an-adult-because-hes-from-a-good-family

"“When your first time having sex is rape,” G.M.C. allegedly texted friends with the video days after the party. Several of the friends told investigators Mary’s body was drooping during the assault, at least one adding that her head was also banging against the wall, The Hill reported."

Videos like this make me sad cause it’s a couple people fucking it up for everyone. Then when you get the Asian lady from Menace II Society we have no one else to blame but ourselves. Damn I’m not old enough to be the guy screaming from his lawn already. My parents would have wiped the floor with my ass if I was a part of that “mob”. Shit I was afraid to take a pencil without asking. Kids licking ice cream, spitting into listerine, “flash mobs” ........goddam I know we all did dumbshit but now social media glorifies it

same here...

no body hates thieves more than Koreans. My mom would fuck me up, and not only that...I would lose her respect and my family.

then, again the people in this video don't know the meaning of the word.

You see how stupid it is to think like this? I wish Democrats would stop encouraging it.

Wain's satire, as he has already clarified himself, is that some behaviors can't be associated with any failure of policy. They are failures of culture. Sometimes our conditions are the product of our behavior, and not vice versa. It's a chicken and the egg debate.

What is the solution (policy or otherwise) to the problem in the video?

Education, more social programs including after school programs and stop removing young black men from the home for drug offenses. Also, investment in those communities

But you don't want to fund any of that. You just want to post videos

I agree that we cannot prevent every single crime from happening. I think he's pointing out that Zebby's only response in the face of criminal activity is to turn it around and try to somehow point out a negative thing about the person reporting the crime, rather than address the crime itself.

It is pretty glaring. He has no solutions because he's incapable of properly identifying the problem.

lol read the post 2 above this one

What is a *legislative* policy to help encourage strong families?

Stop locking young men up for drug crimes, offer more job training programs at little to no cost and offer job placement programs. As well as cheap education for low income people. Invest in our young people.

But nothing is going to completely stop crimes like this... Teenagers do dumb shit
