We probably don't know each other well enough for me to joke around with you like that, so I apologize. I want to clarify that in no way do I ever advocate theocracy.

There's nothing that can be done, legislatively. I believe there are specific laws associated with hot topics that could be implemented, that would certainly have an effect on familial and social morality.

The problem is I do not believe in restricting the freedom of others just to establish harmony, even if I believe my notion of harmony is correct. That is ironically a major reason why we're seeing things like this-- people circumvented good laws and norms for the sake of what they perceived to be harmonious.

The more tragic irony is that freedom comes at the expense of enforcing a world I envision. But freedom is the mechanism by which that world could ever come about.
