Fiziev Will Never Represent Kyrgyzstan again

He does wear that papakha for the cameras most of the time when he's not fighting, so his culture is still at the core of his heart.
Papakha is not just a Kyrgyzstan thing, it's worn all over Caucasus region and some parts of central asia, and his dad is from Azerbaijanan, where papakha is also part of national tradition.

He's repping his culture, as I said, whatever that means to him. I never said that he's repping Kyrgyzstan.

Move to US and leave that dumpster fire.. it would be better for his career anyway.

well kind of hard to understand what you wrote with "repping his culture", but point taken
Admittedly, "papakha culture" is a hard thing for me to understand....it's not entirely Caucasian, it's not entirely Muslim, not sure if it reps anything specific other than a region or a people that is obviously very dear to Fiziev's heart. It reps something deeper than what a flag would rep, I believe, but I'm not exactly sure what.

Traditionally, shepherds use them and they were also often part of the military uniform; but generally they are warm and useful. Even Russian's have their own version of papakha, kazaks wear them for example. But yes, I can see how it would be sort of hard to understand.

If you haven't noticed, Fiziev walked out with no flag. It's a sad story. Since his dad is muslim and Shiite, and majority of Kyrgyzstan is sunni, he is getting harassed and threatened daily, because a few high ranking individuals for some reason decided to direct their focus on him and reprimand him for his background. Now he is getting thousands of death threads and is forced to leave the country.

It's kind of pathetic that people of the same religion can't even get along.

Yeah, they should really take notes from Catholics and Protestants.

While the UFC claims to be apolitical and all for freedom of speech there seems to be mounting evidence to the contrary. The latest bizarre situation is forcing a huge prospect in the lightweight division Rafael Fiziev to stop representing his country.
How is this situation in any way the UFC's fault? Should they force Fiziev to stop talking about religion? Should they force him to fly the flag of Kyrgyzstan, or should they force him to not fly it?

Ironic how the Shia are Shiites when it sounds like it's the Sunnis who are the total shites

Nasrat Haqparast walked out without his Afghanistan flag as well.

I think that was the UFC's decision. They don't let fighters walk out with unofficial flags because they don't want any conflict with the actual ruling government of any country. He was using the old Afghan flag. The official afghani flag is the new black one with white writing, which is what the Taliban changed it to once they took back control recently.

Same thing happened with Edmen and his country, I believe.

Has nothing to do with UFC, why are they trying to blame UFC for how people in that country view Fiziev? Has nothing to do with UFC and has everything to do with those people. Fiziev should leave, if they don't want to support him and he's done nothing wrong, go some place where he doesn't have to worry about those problems. Go move to a multicultural country if his own people are always going to have a problem with his background and the way he lives his life.

So what you're telling me is that in a time where we have genome editing and space travel there are people hating eachother over which fairy tale is better? Not even different fairy tales but hating off different versions of the same fairy tale? Mark me unsurprised.

design of the system to divide and conquer as many times as possible. Religion is the ultimate divider. People want a semblance of the higher truth, but can't see through the deception that is fed to them.

Regardless of what goes on behind the scenes.... makes you wonder how someone reads a book on a warlord spreading slavery and marrying a kid and they're just like yup, this sounds good to me! Lol
