Fiziev Will Never Represent Kyrgyzstan again

That’s why I said in “modernity”. Islam TODAY is comparable to Christianity during the Spanish Inquisition.
Agreed, but I also think that's as much to do with the geopolitical situation in the ME as it does with the actual religion. The easier life is, the less harsh the interpretations of the holy teachings.

Hey man, I think all religions are fucked, particularly the Abrahamic ones. I just get annoyed when a particular religion tries to claim moral high ground when the texts are equally fucked, and history just as bloody.
Anything to do with religion is fucked. Religion is a tool, it's not a spiritual practice.

You keep trying to make excuses by pointing to "geopolitical" or another religion.

Their book says you can own slaves, a man can marry 4 wives, and wars can be started.

I would say their beliefs are central to their "geopolitical" situation.

These are official politicians in Iran that are burning the American flag.

Lol dude. You're completely historically illiterate if you think that's the case. After the Ottoman empire collapsed, Great Britain and France arbitrarily drew the borders of the countries in the region, with zero consideration to the geographical, cultural, linguistic, or religious differences within those lines.

While I'm not the religious sort either I have to rebut your claim.
They are not equally fucked - read them. They are light years apart..... and the history isn't comparable if you read the encyclopedia of war.

Everyone hates the us surprised you didnt know that

I don’t know if that’s what it is, places like El Salvador, Honduras, Venezuela, and name you poor violent Christian country, are economically much worse off than most middle eastern countries, yet I don’t hear of anyone being killed for being an apostate or being from a different sect of Christianity. The women in these countries are also given equal rights and don’t live under the threat of execution if they’re too promiscuous etc…

It’s more about what’s written in their book, Islamic extremist groups are not studying some hardcore version of Islam, they’re getting the instructions from the very same text your peaceful moderate neighbour is reciting.

Hey man you can stop making excuses for Islam by claiming you are superior with atheism, that there are "geopolitical" reasons, or that Christianity is "just as bad".
There's no point in arguing with you as you have zero clue of the history in the region post WW1.

That's all you got? You only go back 100 years?

Islam conquered Indonesia, central Asia, Pakistan, the Middle East, and North Africa.

they do find other ways to kill people...in Argentina for example, they had thousands of people massacred for political beliefs in the 70s/80s, buried in mass graves, genocide style. It's all relative.

Ok but we’re comparing apples and oranges. They committed a massacre and they happened to be Christians, they didn’t commit the massacre BECAUSE they were Christians, that’s a big difference.

Islamic extremist groups are simply following what’s written in their text when they kill in the name of Islam.

What I am saying, religion is a tool to carry through a certain agenda....so is politics. To me there is no difference. Christians killing christians has happened millions of times through "history", there are divisions in christianity that have caused massive violent conflicts, just like in Islam.

I keep hearing distractions that "Christians are just as bad" or "Americans are just as bad" or "Don't worry, I'm not just defending Islam. I think all religions are bad."
