Elections First Presidential Debate Discussion: 9/26/16

Who won the debate?

  • Total voters
    495
  • Poll closed .
I found it funny when Hillary talked about Trump having something to hide with taxes but when it comes to deleted emails, nothing to hide there Hillary? I love seeing both of them squirm.

good point .. trump should've destroyed her when she said that .. missed opportunity ..

'you have the gall to talk about hiding something secretary, when you intentionally had 33k emails deleted when you were subpoenaed etc' .. that would've been a major killshot .. smh missed chance

Except they don't... Highest bracket it's under 40%. There's other western European countries where that's the AVERAGE bracket, not the top.
Other western european countries = Belgium and Finland

And their corporate tax isn't even close

Washington post fact checkers and politifact are two cited sources from what you linked me. I'm not gonna bother looking into FactCheck.org, because I've made my point loud & clear.

If those of their sources are biased, their credibility is ruined (it is)

Sure... you've made it clear you won't look into the fact that every single political fact checker has gone over Trumps claims and found him to lie and flip flop at a truly astound rate.

I've posted numerous things proving them to be biased. How about you actually attack those instead of just saying "nuh uh, you're wrong"

he does flip flop tho

You have no relevant data and are trying to discount the current polls by mentioning voting data from 8 years ago. Sure, I know it.
It's like you you are incapable of typing in Google " Hillary uneducated voters".

Whateves

Clinton looks like she's on her death bed here huh? Totally sick, definitely Parkinsaids. Oh wait she's vibrant. Almost...no I won't say it.

would
Called adderall and cocaine

Trump just runs on his gigantic ego

Because you haven't actually proven that their assesment of Trump is incorrect, and you haven't addressed that it's not just a couple of "biased outlets" which are reaching the same conclusion.
I'm not defending politifact, I'm defending the statement that Trump has out lied and flip flopped every candidate I remember.

Clinton: Trump has called women "pigs," "dogs" and "slobs"

This is accurate. Trump used those exact words to describe Rosie O’Donnell, New York Times columnist Gail Collins and Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington. He also called a lawyer who had to pump breast milk "disgusting."

^ That's from politifact's fact checking.

If that's not obviously biased I don't know what is. He called ONE WOMAN those names. They say it's accurate that he calls WOMEN those names.

If Trump makes a minor grammar issue they rate it pants on fire.

"Clinton: Trump has called women "pigs," "dogs" and "slobs"

Politifact says Clinton's accusation of Trump calling WOMEN pigs, dogs and slobs is ACCURATE because he said those things about ONE WOMAN (Rosie O'donnel)

UNBIASED

If you are going to be disingenous, maybe don't post the same thing twice, but on the second time, cut off the additional names.

It says right in the quote that in that quote that he used those words to describe Rosie O'donnel, Gail Collins, and Arianna Huffington.

That is 3 different people. Also, those are three very quick things. There are literally dozens of examples.

I don't have time to check every fact checker. I've looked at the most popular one--politifact, and the washington post. Sorry that I'm not doing this as a career, but I also am a student full time.

Again, I have shown evidence that the most popular fact checker online is CLEARLY biased. Either attack that or simmer down.

Difficult to say who won due to the nature of the debate and their different style.
Trump pretty much went for it with a bit toned down version of himself. Worked in the primaries, lets see if it worked this time.
I can see Trump might have convinced more people to vote for him than Clinton has.
He mate it very clear in the beginning that Hillary is just more of the same. The she had 30 years line was good.
I also think he came across strong against terror and national security. He really only needs to get the female suburban vote and he wins.

I thought the moderator was a bit tougher on Trump but that is just something that comes with Trump style wouldn't call it unfair.
Clinton did a solid job as expected not sure she won any new votes. She didn't really say anything new or made any strong claims.
I dont think many people that at this point dont want to vote for will still decide to vote for her. While Trump still has a chance.

Trump lost his temper a bit during the middle part. Not sure how much that hurts him.

It's like literally the first thing that comes back from that exact search is, "Clinton Suffers Big Losses With Less-Educated White Voters."
Uhuh.

It was a mistake. I misread the quote myself. You probably won't believe me but it wasn't disingenuous.

Regardless, even calling THREE women those names seperately does not make it accurate to say that Trump calls WOMEN those names. He called SPECIFIC WOMEN those names.
