I did a quick search because I didn't see Khan in any of the trailers and had a feeling they were going to do something like this so I wasn't surprised. Mike Judge must be rolling in his grave.

Mike's just one of the creators/producers. Greg Daniels is the co-creator and Jim Dauterive (who Bill was named after) is another of the producers who also is one of the producers on Bob's Burgers, so it was probably a decision a bunch of people had a hand in, possibly even Khan's actor (Artie the Strongest Man in the World).
Maybe the replacement actor actually sounds like an older Khan, just hoping for the best.

Here is an idea, how about not poking fun at either side.

It always had an element of that, though. Hell, they had an episode with Peggy befriending a tranny in the original run, and it didn't set out to insult either side, but just explore the dynamic. That's where this show excels. It doesn't look to "dunk" on anyone, but just occasionally create situations where the two sides clash, and having them all learn something about each other.

i watched three episodes so far, i think its alright. chuckled at a few jokes. can't stand dale's voice though, it's too weird.
