I am trying to and I always have been respectful to you. I would allow for the inclusion of accidental firing into the overall safety of having a gun in the home, but don’t believe that self inflicted harm should be a consideration when discussing gun safety. That's not what I said though, not sure why you can't just read my argument and engage with it honestly.
This is due to there being two groups of people that are included in the cohort. Suicidal and non suicidal. When discussing safety, the non-suicidal should be the only cohort considered which is why I believe including suicides into the gun safety argument — specifically when people are advocating for guns as a self defense measure — is a bad faith tactic.
