If I'm Dana I would say fight Woodley or Bobby. If GSP does a test cut to 155 and does ok. Then I would consider. But GSP has never made 155 in his life. You don't drop weight classes as you age. You gain weight classes as you age.

I've got no problem with a GSP vs Conor fight, that ass kicking would be epic.

But GSP should not be gifted yet another title shot in a division that he has not even competed in. The actual LW contenders who are busting their asses for a title shot do not deserve to be stepped over.

If they were to introduce a 165 lbs division then Khabib vs GSP would make a lot of sense to crown the inaugural champion if Khabib would vacate the 155 lbs title for that opportunity. But ideally the first champion of a newly created division should be decided by a tournament.

If GSP fights Woodley then he'll probably just vacate the title same as he did after he fought Bisping, and then what? A bit of a mess. Why not keep title fights among active fighters who intend to stay active and defend their belts? But I'm excited about any of the 3 choices for GSP - Woodley, Khabib, or Conor. It's can't-lose for me.

I like Dana, but disagree with him here. He's already let Bisping and Conor and others do what they want, and GSP was always a company man, so why not let him fight for the LW belt? That guy was right, GSP vs Conor would be huge. If they're not going to strictly follow the #1 contender challenging for the belt, then at least put on entertaining fights.

I mean, he has a point. He's still salty over GSP vacating the middleweight belt, so he's saying GSP would need to prove he can make 155 vs. a top contender there (before potentially vacating another belt. That wouldn't look great).

Still, people would tune in for GSP-McGregor. It's about the money.
