Finnegan's Wake

i just know for sure to take it pre workout. i wasn't sure about the other time. When i wake up in the morning, that's when i workout...

Okay. Sounds good to me then. I usually have PM workouts. Give it about 15-20 minutes to absorb into the body before you have breakfast. I can't emphasize enough: be prepared for the tingling. It will freak you out.

The tingling is very, very strange. It's just...odd.

that heavy bag workout is solid... makes me wish I had one at my apartment

Is it a space, noise, or financial issue that prevents this? I don't think I could live in a place without a dungeon/garage to train in.

I've finally decided to take over the garage. My wife has been using it for the storage of junk. Today I had a garage sale while she was at work, and got rid of maybe 25% of the stuff in there. I've begun the transformation.
I see a killer little MMA gym (matted floors, heavy bag, etc) within a month maybe two.

Sweet.

20 puzzle mats (18"x 18")
25ish lbs Medicine ball

sledge hammer
135 lbs anvil
10 foot chain
Whirlpool brand dip station
carpet (useful to muffle deadlift clangs in the wee hours of the morn/ striking surfaces, etc)
2 shields, European taper style, 1 buckler, 1 tower shield, Celtic Oval style
two Olympic bars w/ 540 lbs of Oly weights, dumbells, assorted standard weights/ bars
CoC grippers
Plyo bands
pullup bar
two CD players (Bas's CDs have their own player. Background music goes in the other)
Chalk, straps, belt
Three heavybags (65, 75, and 100 lbs)
cooler (for box squats/ step to the pullup bar)
variety of bag and training gloves/ handwraps

Soon to be had:
Power Tower dip/ pullup station
Double end bag

Distant future:

Edit: Shit. I just realized that I'm only 45 lbs away from deadlifting all the weight I have at the house. Time to buy a couple more 45's.

how many grams a day should I be taking. i've seen a couple different opinions.

i didn't like the tingling sensation by the way.

Damn. Add in a some basic supplies like canned food, bottled water and some heat blankets, and you're ready for Armageddon and the subsequent prehistoric-future society.

Zero: Studies seem to indicate you can do just fine with 3-4, and anything more than 6 is a waist.
Ghostwipe: Those items are upstairs next to the arsenal.

Sprints:
Stairs again. Its thundering and threatening to rain. I knew the cooler weather was just a con. 1 minute rest between sprints.

20 steps sprint up, skipping every other step, 20 jog down x 15, 1 sprint
20 steps sprint up, skipping every other step, 20 jog down x 10 , 3 sprints
20 sprint up, 20 jog down all steps x 5, 5 sprints

Core Circuit: x 4
Circuit done without rest between exercises, 1 minute rest between circuits.

Medicine ball knee walk x 20 (10 each side)
slow knee raise crunches w/ 3 second maximum tension hold x 10
Side bend (100 lbs dumbell) x 16 (8 each side)

Rope Ring Pullups
25 (5 sets of 5)

Rope Ring Chinups
25 (5 sets of 5)

Impressions:
I made rope rings out of a 25 foot anchor line. I love these things! I don't trust the test to do too much, but anything under 300 lbs total should be fine (i.e, no heavy dips on them). I need to figure out a way to make the rope length adjustable, as it is currently just tied/ wrapped/ taped around my pullup bar.
Also Ghostwipe, I now have two, no one, but TWO nooses to hang me and my lover with when the Zombies/Feds/Russians breach the final defenses. How's that for planning ahead for Armageddon?
Oh, and legs feel fine, yay BA etc, etc.

Haha, excellent. I need to get home, and start preparing the same.

Well, hopefully I'll be able to hook up with a resistance group in the Pacific Northwest, but I need to be prepared nonetheless.

hmmm well on my little tub i got, im pretty sure it said 1/2 tsp is one serving. which meant i took about 8 servings in all yesterday. weak.

from bulknutrition.com

100grams for 12 bucks. Just wanted to try it out first before i pour in 30-40 bucks for something.

Cool. I may be off on my measurements, but wouldn't 1/2 tsp be about 1.5 -2 grams? If you are taking that a couple of times a day, you should be good. I'm overdosing a bit on it, but I'm also doing a lot of exercise.

i'll double check and see what it says when i get home. i just know im going to try 5 g a day.
