Finally met Georges St Pierre today

With all due respect, GSP is definitely not 5 feet 11. More like 5 feet 9.5 inches tall (his announced height when he was fighting in Canada before the UFC). I seen him real up close at an event in Toronto, and he was the exact height as my cousin when they were real up close posing for a pic. My cousin asked him his height and he said "almost 5 feet 10". This was 5 years ago. Not sure if GSP grew an inch and a half in his 30's (lol). I seen a pic of GSP and Conor as well, and GSP had about an inch on Conor, who is a legit 5 feet 8.5 inches tall. GSP was an average sized WW and definitely short for MW. It is laughable his haters thought he was ducking MW, when I agree with Cesar Gracie himself who said in 2011- that GSP WAS A BULKED UP LIGHTWEIGHT in an interview when Diaz vs. GSP was booked.

Yeah fair enough, didn't mean to offend anyone and it's awesome that you get a kick out of it. I guess I just sort of see it like to you it's a big deal but to the 'celeb' it's just another face in the crowd. I could've met Rogan once but figured it was pointless unless it was to have a decent chat.
 
That's actually really cool TS. Congrats to you, can't say I've ever met someone I'm as big of a fan of. Hope it was quite the experience!
 
GSP should lay off the tanning, lose some weight, and drop the Seagal grease job. Congratulations, TS.

I agree entirely. What is your hunch on the likelihood of a return & how big of a roadblock do you think the whole under armor/reebok thing will be if he does decide he wants back?

I think it will be a huge roadblock and it will be just one more thing that prevents him from coming back. GSP seems to me to be someone who respects loyalty, and I think dropping UA will be tough for him.

If that was the only roadblock I think it would be overcome ... but there are others, and for some weird reason Dana keeps crapping on GSP adding more. I could see GSP doing some sort of superfight with Conor, but I really can't see him coming back permanently.

It's GSP haters who carry on the false "GSP was huge for WW and should have fought at MW" diatribe. GSP is the same weight as most of the bigger LW's. GSP fought in the low 180's for almost his entire career. Benson Henderson competed in BJJ in the 190s.

GSP is basically a guy who could have been LW, and stayed at WW and ended up GOAT. Expecting GSP to go to MW is like expecting Conor to go to 170, it makes no sense to fight at your walk around weight.
 
TS.. do you know that shoes add height. Yeah he was 5'11 in shoes I believe that. GSP is not underlisted at 5'10.

He looks a lot slimmer than usual, he said he was in the high 180's, and he's definitely 5ft 11in tall, not the listed 5ft 10in. When I asked him about coming back, he said he was enjoying his time off and wasn't ready to commit, he was rediscovering his love for martial arts.

But maybe he's also here to talk about UFC 200, so who knows, there was also a white Lamborghini right under the Store, so maybe it's his.

Yeah he's actually around 5'10 and 180ish. I met the guy years back. People always seemed surprised how "small" he is. The dude is pure freaking muscle, so he's not light he's just jacked And not a fatass like most people. Since when is 5'10 180 slim? Did I miss something?
 
Congrats TS, I assume he wants to come back, but his knee injuries were much worse than he wants to admit.

He can't rely on his power double-leg takedowns anymore, so he has to reinvent himself and learn how to strike. Sure he always knew how to strike, but he was effective because everyone was terrified of his wrestling, so they were afraid to open up.

It's possible, but I am not so sure. He's definitely lost a step though, whereas I would give him a 98% chance to beat any WW in his prime, I'd say some fights he'd have maybe 70-80% chance now. Unless his injuries are far more severe than during the Hendricks fight, he would be WW champ right now.]

I really want to see him fight at LW though to be honest, it would be easier for him to stay the right weight, and there's a lot of interesting fights.
 
I met him and he was not 5'11". 5'8"-5'9" if that. I am 6'3" and he would headbutt my chest.

Stop trying to make up shit because you are short as balls TS.
 
GSP is right up there after Jones. Amazing fighter but I hope he stays retired.

Prime GSP would dominate Lawler, Wonderboy, Hendricks for sure. I think he'd be a slight underdog against them nowadays, I'd take him over Hendricks but not Robbie, he wouldn't fight Wonderboy I assume.

GSP started in Karate, and he told TS he was "rediscovering his love for martial arts" That also fits right in with my theory, meant to add it my last post
