It's been reported that Ryback has stated that he aspires to be the guy to fill Cena's shoes once Cena's on his way out (or at least slows down tremendously, I imagine).

The comments in that article were brutal, to say the least, and they weren't in Ryback's favor.

A heel cannot possibly have the impact that a character like Cena, Hogan, Hart, Rock, etc. can have, therefore, the question stands...

Who can fill those giant sneakers once Cena bids farewell?

I seriously cannot picture Ryback at the helm, but then again, I'm certain no one expected "Rocky Maivia", rapper Cena, or "The Ringmaster" to become as big as they were!

Ryback is a joke to Pro Wrestling in 2015. Take him back to the 80's and never come back.

They don't have the next big star yet. This is a typical cycle though, with good workers carrying the load while they look for the next face of the company.

Ryback had momentum until some skinny wannabe tough guy in tats that looked like they were picked out by a child halted it and then buried him on a podcast.

You never know who hits, it's not an exact science. Maybe Ryback could be a big deal, but to me I only see him as a Mark Henry substitute, a guy pushed when you need an effective heel, or to make someone look strong by beating them. And having titles without anyone questioning it by being a monster.

Reigns is the guy IMO, Balor could be if the paint doesn't overshadow him. Cesaro could definitely be in that Benoit/Christian territory.

All not bad roles to have.

Well that's the VERY FIRST TIME that I have heard of Punk being the guy to derail Rybacks face run which somehow happened in a Podcast episode 2 YEARS LATER.

LOL....

Really? Who was the guy who killed off that major crowd reaction he was getting in 2012? Who was the guy who jobbed him out 3 PPVs in a row(one more than Cena!
and Cena actually sold) the next year, then buried him on a podcast about being stiff and unsafe even though he's the only one to say it, and he didn't even get him right when he was pointing at him for eye raking him after LASIK even though, there's photographic evidence that clearly shows it was Bryan.

Leave the CryWC bubble

History has been rewritten guys! You heard it hear first... Nostradizzy is in this bitch.

History is on tape.

Look it up.

Hogan, Austin, Rock, Heart were heels .

I'll just leave this hear for Mr Delusional Boy:

History: Wikipedia

Babyface and still over...
On April 7 at WrestleMania 29, Ryback was defeated by Henry in a singles match.

Ohhh shit, Cena asked for that heel turn!

The following night on Raw, Ryback saved WWE Champion John Cena from a post-match assault by Mark Henry before attacking Cena himself thus turning heel in the process.[68] The following week on Raw, Ryback explained his attack on Cena as stepping out from his shadow and getting revenge for Cena not having his back against The Shield; Ryback got a measure of revenge later that night, by allowing the Shield to attack Cena.[69] After becoming the number one contender to the WWE Championship, Ryback continued his feud with Cena by attacking him on several occasions while also having confrontations with The Shield.[70][71][72] Ryback received his title opportunity in a Last Man Standing match on May 19 at Extreme Rules, however, the match ended in a no-contest after Ryback rammed Cena and himself into the electric backdrop at the top of the ramp.[73] The following night on Raw, Ryback entered the arena in an ambulance and challenged Cena to an ambulance match for the WWE Championship at the first-ever Payback pay-per-view.[74] The following week on Raw, Cena accepted Ryback's challenge, but announced their match would instead be a 3 Stages of Hell match; the first fall a lumberjack match, the second a tables match and the third an ambulance match.[75] At the pay-per-view on June 16, Ryback won the lumberjack match, but went on to lose both the tables and ambulance matches and his shot at the WWE Championship.

Has now lost twice to Cena as the new turned heel :)

In August, Ryback debuted a new gimmick, where he began bullying various backstage workers.[79] Also as part of the gimmick, Ryback would back away from fighting opponents of equal size and taking advantage of smaller and vulnerable opponents.[80] On September 15 at Night of Champions, Ryback aligned himself with Paul Heyman after helping him defeat CM Punk.[81] Despite being a bully himself, Ryback claimed he hated bullies and vowed to stop CM Punk and anyone else who acted as such.[82][83][84] On October 6 at Battleground, Ryback was defeated by Punk in a singles match following a low blow from Punk.[85] On October 27 at Hell in a Cell, Ryback and Heyman were defeated by Punk in a 2-on-1 handicap Hell in a Cell match.[86] The feud ended the following night on Raw, when Punk defeated Ryback in a Street Fight match after forcing him to submit to the Anaconda Vise, marking Ryback's first ever submission loss.[87] On the November 11 episode of Raw, the alliance between Ryback and Heyman came to an end when Heyman verbally berated him.[88] On November 24 at Survivor Series, Ryback was defeated by the returning Mark Henry after he answered Ryback's open challenge.[89]

Punks fault.... Lol history says what now?

Which "History" is on Nostradizzy's side? I don't understand..

bye_bye.gif

Think they're entering a new era of talent. I honestly don't think there will be one guy who will be "THE GUY" if there is It's gonna take some time... The Shield guys have a good chance to have the title transfer through their hands a number of times... THey all seem to be improving and cleaning up their downfalls and have been taking great advice.

D Bry had a chance to be in the picture but dude is broken.

THere's a number of NXT guys who look like they have the stuff, Baron Corbin, Finn Balor (Might be a little too late), Jason Jordan and Gable? Maybe.

The next couple of years are going to be interesting to see who comes up through development.

Hogan, Austin, Rock, Heart were heels .

Hulkamania Hogan was the ultimate baby face during his reign...

Austin was a good guy/badass...

The Rock had a similar role as Austin...

Hart was also a major baby face while he led the company...

Now go slap yourself silly.

I'll just leave this hear for Mr Delusional Boy:

Cornveniently leaving out losing to Punk on two PPVs in a row and a tlc match on Raw.

Cornvenienlty leaving out getting beat down by Punk on numerous occasions on Raw that left him looking like shit.

But yeah, the real problem is Henry.

Beat him every time.

Ambrose or Bryan if he can keep going on

I don't see this happening, simply due to the FACT that the overwhelming majority of wrestlers who've been in these positions (face or heel) have possessed hulkier physiques.

Ambrose has the height, but not the bulk...yet.

I think Ambrose could be a big star, ditch the zany shit first and go back to the calm crazy persona he had before he was beating up mannequins and he could be an anti hero the company has missed for awhile.

But I think people are too focused in a heel run to give that a chance.

Nope.

Given the current political climate, Linda's desire to get into politics, and every Tom, Dick, and Harry getting offended by everything and anything these days, there's no way a guy with mild schizophrenia will take the lead!

I need to look for another country to live in!

CM Punk. Oh wait WWE you done screwed that up.

CM Puke is one of the biggest whiners in PW history!

I'm glad the dude's gone...I see him coming back someday, though.

Puke will never be the face of WWE because he's too busy trying to do things HIS way...if you're Vince and this Puke with a Pepsi tattoo comes into your organization and demands to reinvent your wheel, how would YOU react!?
