i just bought guilty gear, been doing trials with potemkin.......i do not feel comfortable on the stick lol

Maybe #1 on ranked which basically just counts number of wins or level (depends what youre filtering on).

If we're going by tournament results it's almost definitely Shine. Jan has tons of online placings but I can't recall if he's entered offline for Strive yet at a major or regional. I may be wrong on that. Snake Eyez I know is really strong but I am unsure if he's been able to make it out to majors/regionals yet.

I just love seeing Snake Eyez playing the grapplers and doing work. Always enjoyed his Gief in SFIV

I am seriously considering Tekken. I like 3d fighters better.

Might check out Die by the Blade when it comes out as I love my dueling.

the only bad thing with Tekken is the price of the full game with everything unlocked, it's too much.

I'd suggest BBCF as well. The main grappler (Tager) has a magnetism mechanic which can set up his throws and traps.
