Fighting Games Discussion

Well, Punk is in losers. i dont see him beating the winner of Mena/Tokido.

The way Kakeru lost both matches is a feeling no one can shake for a while lol. Had to hurt.

Kakeru was a joy to watch, plays very clean.

Ken crouching medium kick needs to be nerfed it has to be unsafe if done up close. The way it is right now it's too strong a tool against walk forward.

The top cast in this game feel way too strong I lol'd when James chen said this game was the most balanced sf on release. Vanilla sf4 was much more balanced except for Sagat.

Homey should have pulled that pocket blanka out would have been epic. Menard let me down last night.

So how do you SF guys feel about SF6 after that tournament?

I'm not really deep into the minutia of the mechanics of the game, so I'm sure theirs some balancing issues and what not you can point to.

From an entertainment perspective that was the funnest I've had watching a SF EVO. SF6 seems way more offense oriented.

Also, side note - super happy a guy with a HORI RAP Noir with a traditional stick won that shit. There was also a HRAP-N in the Tekken finals.

I'd like to see a ban in EVO against the Jacket Jerk.

I thought it was enjoyable for sure being there. I do think it highlights that what what-wut says above, the game isn't balanced. Tons of elite players, and the Top 96 was almost all top tier characters, with sprinkles of other characters here or there. We almost had a double Ken mirror in GF. There is a huge gap between the top 8ish characters and the rest that needs to be addressed before "by the end of Capcom Cup" or I think the gap will be even bigger.

Of course James would say that. I remember him saying something about how Luke went from being from a character that had mixed reactions to this loveable goofball that everyone likes and Maximilian responded with, "...Speak for yourself, James!" Lol.
