Fighters whose best performance or on their best resulted in a loss

Rory vs robbie Lawler 2. He owned robbie Lawler for a couple rounds.
Romero vs whittaker 2 goes both ways.

Appears so live, I was extremely worried. But there is a slowed down video showing that Fedor actually slipped most of the punches.

His speed, sharpness, and confidence was all there against Fedor.

Fedor was on his back foot and Arlovski was setting the pace, even if he was able to avoid most of the damage.

Compared to a few fight earlier where Rothwell was able to get on top or where he was afraid to even engage with Werdum, Arlovski looked amazing.

I don't know about the best fighter he has faced but I like your neutral stance in admitting Santos is a beast. And "Thiago was in that fight"<5>
I was talking about Jon being the best fighter Thiago's ever faced, not the other way around.

Alexander Gustafsson - vs Jon Jones
Pedro Rizzo - vs Randy Couture 1
Shogun - vs Lyoto Machida 1 (yes it was his most important fight)
Lee Murray - vs Anderson NCAA Silva
Jorge Rivera - vs Rich Franklin
Johny Hendricks - vs GSP
Gray Maynard - vs Frankie 2 (OK, draw, draw)
Mark Hominick - vs Aldo
Shane Carwin - vs Brock (before he gassed)
Kevin Randleman - vs Fedor/Bas
Hendricks was not at his best. He only went 75%

The Korean Zombies` loss to Rodriguez is the first, most recent, that comes to mind!
