Other than Jones ducking HW DC and Israel avoiding KHAMZAT, are there examples you've seen of fighters "coincidentally" changing weight classes as soon as there's a new threat? (Or in Jones' case as soon as his biggest threat retired?)

DC is literally the last top HW that Jones is scared of. He knows him inside and out. Jones is scared of Ngannou (with very good reason) and I don't see him ever fighting him. I'm not sure Jones is ever fighting at HW to begin with.

This is the correct answer. George's had no interest in any other fight at 185, but a one-eyed 40 year old Bisping for the MW belt was just too tempting to resist. You think GSP had any interest in defending against Rockhold, Romero, Weidman, Jacare etc? No fucking chance.

McGregor moved up to Lightweight instead of fighting Aldo, Edgar, and Holloway.

GDR went to Bantamweight to avoid Cyborg.

Can't think of any others under such specific parameters.

GSP was coming back from retirement, he didn't immediately move from Welterweight up to Middleweight in order to duck from someone at Welterweight.

GSP ducked the rest of the Middleweight division after defeating Bisping, but he didn't change weight classes to do that (which TS specified).
