This is a very common, fair play practice in soccer. After the game, the players usually interchange shirts with the rival team players as a gesture of fair play and class act. Should the MMA fighters start adopting this great and courteus practice by interchanging mouthguards after the fight, maybe before the ring interview, ala soccer? Discuss

As the major manufacturer of custom mouthguards in the USA we have come out in support of this idea. In fact as a measure of true sportsmanship we believe mouthguards should be exchanged after an especially good roll or sparring session. You would then store the guard as a remembrance of the fine work you did with that partner. Remember all re-orders from us are half priced while you consider this brilliant idea.

Hell no. This should not be open for discussion.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with this, it's actually a pretty progressive idea. In essence, it's like tasting victory of defeat no matter what side of the decision you fall on.

Decision didn't go your way? Don't worry, in a few minutes you'll have the sweet taste of victory in your mouth when you finally get the chance to suckle on your opponents mouthpiece!

You won the fight? Great, but it's often said you learn more from a loss than a win, so use this opportunity to graciously accept your opponents mouth piece and let the bitter taste of defeat seep onto your tongue to fully understand the gravity of the bout you both endured.

Way better to taste it than to waste it.

Who the fuck would want to interchange mouthguards with Roy Nelson?

Next time, spare others and post in the shitter room or w/e it's called

I think they should lick each other's eyeballs after the decision is announced.

How is this exchange a gesture of fair play?

Are there fighters using titanium mouth guards?

Shirts? Okay, sure. Mouthguard? Yuck, disgusting.

Just how furiously were you masturbating while you wrote that?

Lmao

That's pretty yuck

Seems like they could just immediately cut to the chase and make out with each other, instead of flirting around with swapping mouthguards.
