Ferreira beats Francis

I think Francis getting KO'd like this is gonna make him embrace grappling more and he was already talking about it during the exchanges with Fury, I don't necessarily think his mma career is over. Renan is a tough opponent and Francis will definitely have to take him down after this loss, fighters aren't the same after getting KO'd.

I honestly can't think of a single person Francis could beat after tonight. Maybe bring Jason Brilz out of retirement, but that's about it.

Great money. What was it 40 or 50 mill combined with Fury and AJ? Set for life, generations.

His career is over though.
I heard $10m for Fury and $20m for the AJ fight.

More than enough money but I wouldn't be surprised if he blows through it in a few years given his previous financial troubles.

Was a thread about this recently made.

I think the chances of him being KO’ed go up now after this one if he gets hit clean again. But it’s mma and as mentioned Renan has some holes in his game. But I definitely think Renan benefits from Joshua’s work.

Right now anyone can finish Francis, hope he can recover but he looks done.

Typically happens with dominant champions, they can't recover mentally. He's good enough if he chooses to wrestle, but of course nobody wants to watch Francis if he spams takedowns and lay on top of his opponent

If Francis loses people will stop clammering for him to return to UFC and start... going on about Ferreira fighting in UFC.

It's almost like everyone forgot how much of a can Ferreira is.

did ferreira tap vs werdum? i think no
Nope it wasn't a tap and this is also evidenced by Renan immediately pounding Werdum into oblivion, if he was really tapping I doubt he would have had the brute force to unleash the bombs he did, he would have been nearly out and going limp.

Even if he did tap its still not his fault nor is it a NC because it's up to the referee to stop the fight and you keep going which is what Renan did a clear win, Werdum has nothing to fill bad about he was way way past it at that point and got taken out by the best HW prospect at the time imo.

I'd be everything I have that you wouldn't be calling him a can if he simply was in UFC which people will be wanting when he beats over the hill Francis.

I could honestly see someone like Tybura or Spivac, or even Jailton taking him down and keeping him on the mat for as long as possible. He got neutralized by Klison Abreu (of all people) and Rizvan, and pounded silly by Delija just two seasons ago. Not to mention he also got submitted by LHW can who went 0-4 in the UFC, and fake tapped to a very over the hill Werdum.

Oh I know he's far from invincible fighter and has holes in his game, having said that I think he would KO Jailton who doesn't have the greatest chin and Renan is hard to submit, I also don't believe he was tapping against Werdum he had way too much pep in his punches in that very moment to be ready to pass out from getting choked if he were really about to go out he'd have been limp instead of pounded Werdum into the mat that's not the behavior of someone that is going out.

I could see Tybura beating him because of his top game but fukking Spivac no freaking way that guy has no heart and if he turtles up from getting hit by Gane I could only imagine how badly he would react to getting hit by 6'7 Ferreira.

Ferreira via 1-2 KO.

Francis lost a fight in a different sport against a top 3 guy..that means he was never that good. That is how it works around here.

BTW.. Im excited for this fight. Hopefully Ngannou does not panic wrestle like he did vs Gane and we get ourselves a banger.

The question is, ¿did anyone tell Werdum to tell the referee that renan tapped? or werdum thought it himself, seconds later after being brutally ko'ed, I can't see this in the video
