Social Female NYT journalists argue that testosterone does not boost athletic performance

As someone who excretes testosterone from head to tippy toe I would be more than glad to prove her wrong by going up against someone athletically who lacks testosterone like @Fawlty , @Trotsky or @luckyshot
Be honest Palis. What you call excreting testosterone most others would call sweating gravy. Hell between that, the likely cholesterol hardening even now in your veins and the strangely faint whiff of cheese behind your ears you probably look and smell like a walking container of Poutine...

<{outtahere}>

And yes, I'm just busting your balls cause it's been that kind of day. Don't take me seriously.

That’s ridiculous.

Genetic advantages should not be held against anyone - male or female.

If a woman is born with a beard and muscles to boot; let the fucking girl use them in sporting competition.

If a dude is blessed with a strong soprano voice; then let him start a hair metal band.

I can't even tell if people are joking about this type of shit anymore.

Looks to me like she's naturally androgynous, and has musculature that is much closer to a man's than other female athletes. There isn't any totally fair way to deal with that, and testosterone looks to be a secondary issue here.

There’s a few medical conditions that will cause naturally high levels of testosterone in females.

That being said, high levels in a female va male is no comparison as the male will always outperform the female die to how males utilize testosterone.

P.S. This lady is stupid to make claim test doesn’t affect athletic performance

My baseline test of 500 is not even worth talking about when I’m sitting at 4000.

Agreed. Dana needs to get this bitch on TUF. If she wins I'd put her at even money vs CM Punk.

They're dead serious.

This in a sport where unathletic midgets like Messi can dominate, not even something with a high correspondence of raw force production like Track & Field.

Letting people who have the physiology more akin to that of men are going to dominate females. We are just the bigger, stronger, and more athletic sex. It's why people were mortified when Joe Mixon got hit and he hit back; no one was worried about his safety when a woman hit him.

I only take the hardcore leftists on this site seriously because they are seriously not trolling with their beliefs.

Did you know that being sexually active with multiple women, especially at the same time, increases your testosterone by 1.5x? Literally, as a all natty specimen, if USADA tested me after a night with my harem I would fail the test worse than Brock.

If it’s naturally then so be it.

You should not penalize someone for something that is natural.

Remember when the left used to be the side of science?

Secondary role? How do women become "naturally androgenous" without androgens?

In terms of her advantage over the field. Look at her torso. If she's a biological woman (apparently that has been confirmed?), her levels of testosterone at competition time don't mean shit compared to her muscles and skeleton.

Ross Tucker is a sports scientist and was involved in the actual decision and process as an expert. He rips the article. I assume it's the same one.

What do you think the effects of testosterone are on muscle and bone?

If she takes whatever horrible chemical cocktail the governing body wants her to take to lower her testosterone, she's still going to be an extremely masculine female, and still have a torso like a man.

You seem to be confused.
Her being "naturally androgenous" (an extremely masculine 'female') is a direct result of having a much higher level of androgens (aka testosterone) which grow your muscle mass, increase bone density, burn fat, and change all sorts of metabolic processes shifting her physiology closer to a male (which as you noticed is very hard to hide, Cyborg would be a good example too).
Testosterone is not a secondary, but a primary role. And probably the only one that matters.

She doesn't have a womb. Doesn't have ovaries. Does have Testes. I think she was basically raised wrong. lol.

Her logic is wrong but I understand what she is implying.

Just because a person has lower testosterone, doesnt mean that person will lose to higher testosterone individual....athletic performance is much more than testosterone.

She cites women in track and field and how lower testosterone women performed better........but she doesn't tell us, how big of gaps were there in testosterone.

Thats where her logic fails....Im certain that the difference in testosterone between those track and field women wasnt that much so it doesnt really matter...unlike situations in MMA where a fully trt vitor is competing against so guy who make 3x lower testosterone lol.

However its obvious as fuck, that once you up testorone hardcore...you tend to perform better.

Now will you become the best/goat if you take a shitload of roids and up your testosterone levels to over 9000? Probably not because sports is much more than testosterone but I guarantee that such individual who roids a shitload, will perform way fucking better compared to their natty self.

As for Caster Semenya, if she is a natty women and just makes more testosterone natty....then I see no problem with her competing..nerfing her is pure fucking bullshit.

Athletic competition ia about finding who is the best..if she is the best and its because of a natty high test score, then I see no problem..accept it!!

Edit:Im reading about xy chromosome, Im no expert but this changes my statement about Caster...ill need more info about this but I stand by testosterone rant.

How come this piece doesn't explain why males perform so much better in athletics than females? I mean, all those words to explain how testosterone doesn't boost athletic performance but no analysis of why peoplekind who experience higher levels of testosterone during development completely crush the athletic performance of those who don't. I wonder why that is.

I assume, with so many 'articles', it is written with the cart before the horse. A desired conclusion is established, and then an effort is made regardless of reality to reach that conclusion. You end up with all sorts of gymnastics and shenanigans to get there.

Smart people are better at trying to rationalize ridiculous things this way (and convincing others) than dumb people IMO. It is basically a task that people can be good at.

The journalists article is self-defeating for the issue they are arguing.

If Test is not the cause of this person’s physical dominance, then taking test-blockers to bring them to the level of their peers would likewise have no effect on their athletic accomplishments in the future.
